It is interesting to see the amount of users who are/were logged into the forum awaiting the much anticipated launch of the PMDG's NGX. So what I have gathered from this is, just from the folks who are presently logged in if they were all to purchase within the next few minutes/hours after launch, is an impressive days pay :So if I do the math : 288 x 69.99 = $20, 157.12 Awesome Job - PMDG. Well deserved for all the R&D and continued support.

Actually in main thread there's 730 logged users and guest right now, recalculate please ;)

Last count I saw was about 1,041 users on both (general and NGX) forums (not including the admins who may buy it as well).

If you check their Facebook page there are 5809 likes. If half of those purchase it I would call it a success

This is actually based on some inside info that was shared a number of years ago by Andrew Herd over at flightsim.com. It was not specific to PMDG but just a general comment. Mark.

Considering you've probably had something like 2 full man years from like 10 people gone into the product, you're probably looking for a return (before tax) of like 20 salaries plus a bit.... so like $700-800k seems believable enough. I don't doubt the market exists for 8-10000 copies over a few years.

I do believe 10,000 people will use the NGX, but I wonder how many of them plan to use a pirated version? I do hope that at least half of that number would legally purchase.

i bet they sell 10,000 copys within 24 hours. Mr Randazzo's last post had now 9,265 views within one hour.

One thing is for sure, those team members sure deserve every cent!
