I just did a flight from KBHM to KCLE and the NGX performed flawlessly. Flew the ILS at 6L, disconnected the AP and AT at 500 ft, NGX was trimmed perfectly and I did the most gentle grease landing that I've ever done in any aircraft. It is such a pleasure to fly. I love the sounds of the engines spooling down as it slows down on the approach. It makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck. For a minute, I thought there was an aircraft flying low, over the house. The reversers sound great too. Bob

Ian or anyone, I have a dual core Toshiba laptop with a 2.66cpu with 4Gb and a 1Gb NVidia GT230 card. It runs the 744X well enough. So do you think it will run the NGX equally well? if so I will buy it now! Gerry

Haven't had any problems with FPS and my machine is nothing special, I'm getting around 30-60fps - GTX460 , 8gb DDR2 , AMD Phenom X4 955 BE OC'd to 3.8ghz

Can someone explain the UIAutomationcore.dll issue? First time I have seen it. Does the intro doc have a fix for this?
If you're using Windows 7, you need a UIAutomationCore.dll file imported from Vista, otherwise the one in Win 7 will give you CTD's using the menus while flying. Not sure if it's in the intro or not offhand, but it's a universal FSX problem. Dropping the new (old) DLL into the FSX folder solves the problem.

I had the breaks act a bit goofy after landing. They got stuck on, and then I fliped the parking break on and off to clear the breaks so I could taxi off the runway, but then lost breaks for the taxi in. And also I saw the VOR compass rose int he IMV mode of the HUD get obscured by the glare shield, it disappeared and fell behind it. Not supposed to happen. But other then that, no issues at all, and great performance.

No problem at all in the operation and flight of the aircraft. However I had to scour the forum to work out how to install a livery. I am sure it is my fault but I coiuld find no how-to instructions amongst or in the PDFs

See my specs... I think it runs better than the 747X on my system. I can usually sustain around 20 FPS or better depending on sliders, what's going on outside, and keeping the cursor off screen... and you ought to be a little better off than I am.

I'm getting horrible frames (I have done everything the intro manual has said for this), but I have a terrible comp (laptop), but i'm getting 1-5 fps at best right now, i'm trying to resolve this myself, but the plane looks and sounds amazing as far as I can tell so far.

It is there in the introduction document, towards the end.

The very large majority are not having issues, but are they going to spend time here to make a post about that? Of course not. This is a support forum, so naturally mainly people having trouble are posting threads. :-)
Maybe they are posting threads because its a problem. How does a person with an incredibly overclocked system capable of running every other addon go from flying to sitting on the tarmac because the plane can not be used due to an installation hickup that PMDG put in the NGX. How many people are putting up these issues and yet as soon as they are put up, someone is removing them. Thats not helping thats a cover up to get the product sold. You want to help than give an answer. Why is the DirectX part of the installing of NGX fail to load up. Never had this problem before today. My FSX works superbly with everything else. What kind of FPS do you get with the default aircraft?

When you post about the horrible frame rates you're getting, it helps to know system specs. Are you using grandma's Dell, the school laptop, or the shiny PC you built for FSX. (more importantly what is the hardware in it)

No issues here. I just competed a flight from PANC to PHNL (~2800nm!) in the ETOPS Alaska -800. Various other pattern work before hand with one CTD at FSX close (no surprise). Not a hitch!!! Most of the issues I've seen on the forum so far have been the following: 1. PC specs at or below minimum. A lot of this going around. A 4-6 year old PC isn't enough, guys. Not with the setting's you're running, and not without understanding how to make it work.2. Complete disregard of the manual, lack of system knowledge, or laziness.3. FSX short comings. UIAutomationcore.dll CTDs. OOMs. Etc.4. A hand full of plain old unreasonable people.
Maybe you can have an answer for my system which does come with the i7 2600K Overclocked @ 4.7 ghz, GTX 580 Graphics Card, 12 Gbs of 1600mhz Ram, 1200 watt psu, 4 SSD's 3 of them in RAID0, I dont know maybe my system is too slow for this. But then again why not explain why PMDG used the DirectX Setup to complete the install process and why it keeps telling me the Cryptographic Service has an issue. That's my problem and Ive already seen it several times as a complaint. The 1155 chipset was recalled when 5% of the motherboards were failing. What is PMDG doing about this issue. WOuld really like some help. Before all of our money is spent and I cant even use the plane. Thats worse than a downed server. BTW, no crash to desktop, my FSX works fine with all my other addons. Yes I have all of the tough ones too and they're working fine too. This is not a highjacking of the site either. Its asking for help. Come on guys, we all love to fly but sometimes people dont like to help because they want to be the only one with the toys, so why not share.

I have an C2D E6600 @ 2,4GHz, 4GB RAM and an MSI N250GTS 1024MB on W7 x64. Frames are a bit disappointing in the VC (like 15-20) but i get 50+ with the 2D panel and no issues at all...
