I hope there is someone NOT having issues...

Featured Replies

I'm reading through the forums and starting to get discouraged with the NGX and FSX (more the latter: OOM's CTD's etc) the more I read. I am waiting on parts for my new i7 2600K Sandy Bridge, gtx570, 2X4gb DDR3 ram build however all the issues everyone is having is making me nervous I just wasted alot of money... Is there people NOT have issues? If you have any of the specs I just mentioned, please feel free to reply with how things are going for you so far. I'm not saying there isn't people that aren't happy, they just seem to be keeping to themselves if that is the case.

Kind Regards,

I've got about the same spec as you (GTX560 rather than 570 only), and I'm getting 30fps+ easily. I'm having far less problems with the 737NGX than any other add-in plane I've used in FSX. Robert Ewing

The very large majority are not having issues, but are they going to spend time here to make a post about that? Of course not. This is a support forum, so naturally mainly people having trouble are posting threads. :-)

I placed my order, downloaded at 1.9 MB/s (about 5 mins for 600+ MB), installed in 5 mins, activated right away, and am flying it now. Haven't had any issues whatsoever with it yet (except my brakes overheating and basically failing after I tried two RTOs!). Fantastic aircraft... Ordering a pizza and about to do a flight from KMDW to somewhere (haven't planned that far out yet). I feel for those that can't get it working correctly, but from what I can tell everything is functioning exactly as it should (minor issue with the GPWS test and windshear alerts, but that's another story for another day when PMDG doesnt have its hands full!)

Another point I'll mention, having watched this forum almost all day, is MOST issues posted are due to not reading the manual and/or not being familiar with the real aircraft

On my way from BFI to PMD I had issues, no download link. Put a ticket in with my pertinent info. Got my download link in short order,Downloaded,, installed, activated. Frame rates exceed 30fps. No problems.

Downloaded it, installed it, flew it. No prob. Even made a flight plan with the FMC and got the VNAV and LNAV working with no bugs.I got lowish fps but it's my crappy dua core's fault. FPS is waaayyyyyy better then a certain competitor that makes alot off older boeings. All in all a impressive product and would dare say; a new stepping stone for FSX.

No problems here either ... just a smooth flight

My specs are in my signature. I've had no issues and FPS are fine, even with scenery and REX 2.0

I wouldn't say it runs great but fine enough for me (just REX and NGX)15-25+ (limited at 25fps) with fairly high settings

Working well here. Had a slight issue with FSUIPC setup that I have now corrected and my TrackIR stopped working but reinstall of the software fixed it (no idea if it is related). Stutters have gone since defrag and some low frame rates are due to over doing it with scenery and just need to adjust some settings. Other than that two flights in and all is good, any other problems with the plane seem to be pilot error. I have been around FS for nearly 10 years and I can tell you that this is very typical of any big release. The steps are as follows: 1) Bug the developer ad nauseum for release date. 2) On release day and for first 48 hours, servers crash, links don't work, DOS's occur, parts of the distribution package not uploaded correctly, etc. etc. 3) A few are disappointed, most are happy (Unless its a lesser developer....I will refrain from naming names... then everyone is disappointed.) 4) Developer releases hot fix in the first week. 5) Developer releases first of 2 patches in the next 90 to 120 days. 6) New product announced, go back to step 1. Mark.
