August 14, 201114 yr I don't understand the issue if you say in the cockpit it gives you 79.2 kg? Why not just use that figure? The CDU should have everything programmed to the model specific. I think you're just wasting more time worrying about this then just going out and flying the bird! +1!
August 14, 201114 yr Commercial Member I think he maybe picked up a typo. If MGW is ex. 72 kg, and MTOW is 70 tons, this is reasonable. However, if the MGW in the FMC is 79 tons with MTOW of 70 tons, this is not reasonable, and suggests an error (yes, they happen!). I haven't compared the manual weights to the FMC weights - I just use the FMC load manager, assuming it to be accurate. Best regards,Robin.

FINALLY A PILOT WHO UNDERSTAND THAT FMC IS NOT SUPPOSED TO GIVE YOU THE FUEL YOU NEED. YOU AS A PILOT GOT TO CALCULATE IT WITH THE PARAMETERS THAT YOU HAVE. Man you pointed out exactly what i meant!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!FMC max GW 79,2kg FCOM 737-800 max GW 70...kg PB IN HERE.So Robin lets talk about this as other people posting here dont get my point:let me say something: simulation means SIMULATION not game and that's what PMDG think as well otherwise we wouldnt have wait this long to put our hands on this 737. So lets handle this the way it should be gentlemen. Kaman Kaman BAPMDG 737 NGX Flight Preparation using EFB, TOPCAT, FSBUILD & AS2012 Leaving the dream ! August 14, 201114 yr I would just go to Boeing's website and look for their technical pdf files. They have all the weight options for their airplanes available to the public! ~William Genovese~
August 14, 201114 yr Sorry have to agree with kaman be useful to know what figures PMDG are using for weights, be useful to know what figures are used for pax, if when loading pax how the stations are distrubuted, does it put weight into holds also for baggage, On note of pax figures be good to have some options to change cabin layout to not just the two options that are presented but also to have the 189 cfg available for the 800 also that Ryanair use.Having these figures would also mean ability to edit rebuild and topcat to better represent the PMDG 737 and not just generic.I see no issue with kamans request at all, PMDG will have these figures as it's what they have used to build the aircraft on and the whole of the fmc programming. So a simple post for a few figures can simply be answered. Really see no clue why everyone been hostile to his request. I would just go to Boeing's website and look for their technical pdf files. August 14, 201114 yr I'm depth or not....5 sets of figures is all he requested, hardly a big one is it? The figures are there as it's what PMDG have had to use to code the fmc.,,so hardly needs to be given the hostile treatment or called a looser? Based on the fact this 50euro addon as been shipped with a Boeing fcom, in depth is what PMDG were striving for and encouraging it's buyers to enjoy...one poster as chosen to do that to add to his interest of the hobby and now being flamed for it...Perhaps if you are a Ryanair pilot, it would have been nicer to see you pass on your experience instead and take it as a compliment that somebody wants to simulate what you do for a living each day. I really wonder about some of these people claiming to be RW pilots. Look at the two guys that post here that we can confirm are RW airline pilots ( Tom and Jack) Both of them act professionally and both try to keep it low key who they work for ( still don't know who Tom flies for) and they don't treat us simmers as losers. August 15, 201114 yr I'm just saying why not use the numbers already programmed into the FMC? That should have everything that PMDG programmed this plane to be. Ryan Vanderbrook
