September 19, 201114 yr The wife comes down to sit beside you on the sofa and you tell her her seats on the right hand side. ====== The kids come into the room and you ask to see their flight deck authorisation.
September 19, 201114 yr when you reverse, and you finished, you put your car in park and wait for the pin on the right/left hand side...... also before you drive off, you say "clear on the left/right" and check back just to see if anything is actually there rather than using the trusty wing mirrors! September 21, 201114 yr I've just returned from a week in the Canaries - and both flights were in a 757-300.On the flight out the Captain revealed that, because of a 'broken' A300 trapped at Barbados, we were aboard a replacement. The APU was 'broken, and there was no hot water - therefore no tea/coffee, even for the flight deck. I wonder if he was aware of how Sullenberger had to depend on his APU to run the systems ?I was already picturing the APU startup switches, and the startup procedure..and I couldn't get onto the flight deck to advise him...
