October 10, 201114 yr So...now, for the 3rd time, I am going to go through the 15 day process of re installing FSX and my addons.....I have no luck with this game....I just want to get on VatSim, and fly.....that is all..... Signing off until my computer/game comes up with a new problem...............I hope my activation will still work....I am sure PMDG is going to shut me down for suspected Pirate activity for all the times I am installing this thing. October 10, 201114 yr I hope my activation will still work....I am sure PMDG is going to shut me down for suspected Pirate activity for all the times I am installing this thing. There was a topic about very similar problems a week or two ago, aircraft parts in every position except where they should be. I'll have a look because I'm pretty sure a fix was posted. As for the activations, if you do reach your limit just open a support ticket & PMDG will fix you up.Edit: here's a link to the other topic, looks pretty similarhttp://forum.avsim.net/topic/347317-am-i-the-only-one-texture-trouble/ Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
October 10, 201114 yr Also, if you were running bojote's shader mod - you would need to completely uninstall that and delete fsx.cfg, let FSX make a new fresh .cfg David Garrison

This will give the people who are trying to help youa "firm" starting point in troubleshooting the problem. It could be the simple matter of an inadequate PSU, MEMORY, overheating GPU, or...The complete "system specs" is a good starting point. Not to forget updating your O.S. Alex Cadle
October 10, 201114 yr Post your system specs. If your running with low end PC, this is the type of issues you will have. Most have Sandy Bridge processor and GTX 460 and above video cards. October 10, 201114 yr Hi William... Looks like an SP2 problem I had - I suffered a lot of problems with the Nemeth EC135 and other aircraft looking like that - until I finally got a successful installof SP2. I created a new installation of FSX, renaming the old one to 'FSX Old' first. I suspected, probably rightly, that it was somewhere in the Windows (in my case, Vista 64) installation, which FSX writes to when installing. The newinstallation was then 'wiped' after the install. Something obviously was corrected 'outside FSX' but with Vista. It worked anyway. I'd tried to sort it but it took a long time. SP2 cured it - it just wasn't installing correctly previously. Hope it works for you. October 10, 201114 yr Is this not the 'Skeleton' issue that is referred to in other posts? The HIGHMEM=1 fix should resolve this, but you look a bit short on the CPU and RAM to be honest.Win 7 OS uses a fair amount of resources without FSX being thrown in too. October 10, 201114 yr I would guess it´s the "HIGHMEMFIX=1" that you have to include in your CFG to solve this Skeleton. Also you should have at least 4GB of Ram. I think your CPU can make it, but a Sandy Bridge would be better./ Leffe Leif A Mikkelsen **********************
October 10, 201114 yr Highmemfix is not causing this, but it's still a good idea to have that in the cfg for other reasons. To the op, your hardware is sufficient to run the ngx (and run it well) as long as you're not too greedy on the scenery/traffic settings. I have to ask, why does it take 15 days to reinstall? Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
October 10, 201114 yr Author I was overreacting on the time just a little..lol.It is just that everyone swears by this one install method of constant restarts and defrays, and the defray tool I use takes about an hour each time given you have run it at least once a week beforehand. Then, all the addons, REX, GEX, FlyTampa, PMDG, and my c152 take the good part of a day...Does anyone think it has to do with the light settings I was trying to apply? I bought that shockwave 3d and tried to put it into my SimObjects/airplanes/pmdg800wl aircraft.cfg.After that and running this installer it did this, first though I would boot up FAX and after 2 mins Max it would exit to desktop, and the even viewer showed something with the pmdg. DLL. I will post it in the thread when I am back at my computer, but it is the same one posted on these forurm about the hotfix issue. Problem is, I bought this plane almost 3 weeks ago, and the hotfix has been running great, no problems, ctds, or panel freeze, and I do flights when able of up to and over 3 hours. It kills me because this is the third time something has hung me up before I wanted to fly, as freetime is hard to come by in this house. October 10, 201114 yr Honestly since you're in the process of reinstalling anyway, I'd try it with just the ngx (without hf4) & fsx. Make sure that's ok, then with hf4 and with each other addon one at a time. That way if it is another addon or mod causing this you'll know without a doubt which one is causing it.Edit: it may very well be the sp2 issue mentioned above. Sounds like a file got corrupted at some point at any rate. Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
October 10, 201114 yr Author Ok, I will try it without the hotfix. Then report.I am happy at least that I got my software from a community that offers good help an is friendly. William Sequeira
