October 23, 201114 yr Dear PMDG Team,Despite of the last issues that happened with Robert we saw a lot of scheduled release dates that do not happened. It is understandable that issues happen while we try to release a piece of software. However it is not fair to give multiple release dates and do not accomplish. At least some days before the promised date PMDG should regret and say that they will not be able to deliver. A bundle of guys stay in front of their computers waiting for the release to happen. With the proper respect to PMDG it is a lack of respect to their customers leaving us waiting when they know in advance that they will not deliver.Best wishes and needless to say that we are eager to know good news about Robert's dad.Adenilson
October 23, 201114 yr The dates they gave had a little note next to them saying "subject to change". Which update are you waiting for? SP1 or the 600/700? They will give a update or release it when they can. Richie Walsh
October 23, 201114 yr man am i glad i have a life, i cant imagine what its like to sit in front of a computer for days waiting on a piece of software whose distribution is not limited by quantity or time to be released. Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
October 23, 201114 yr I sort of agree with that. If they say something should be released on whatever day, they should try to release it on that day. But sometimes things happen that cannot be avoided (i.e. whatever is going on with Robert and his father). So I say give them a break. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
October 23, 201114 yr Author Irishcurse,I'm talking about the SP1. No questions regarding "subject to change". Do you think it is fair to say a date and let the customers accessing the Web Site while they know in advance they will not release ? Inform the customers earlier to not wait the promised release date is that hard ?Adenilson
October 23, 201114 yr MEH stupid threads like this belong perfectly in the MS flight forum Brent Lewis

I understand people want it but threads like this do nothing to speed it up. They have been releasing pics of the 600/700 model on facebook which indicates they are working on it. I don't understand the complete lack of patience and civility . His father is having a medical problem. Richie Walsh

October 23, 201114 yr Moderator A bundle of guys stay in front of their computers waiting for the release to happen. Like someone else said, i'm glad I have a life and an not so consumed by a sim or game that I stay seated at my computer waiting for service packs to be released.I like service packs and fixes as much as anyone, but seriously some of the posts hear make it sound like some people take this hobby way to seariously if your stuck at or constantly looking at a forum, waiting for updates.Get up and live a little or fly a plane that you owned prior to the NGX. I'll bet a lot of people when they get older and look back on a time like this they will think its a bit rediculous how they could be so consumed by a sim or game. Its not the end of the world if an SP is delayed, there are so many more things to worry about in the world than NGX SP1.Jim Burke Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
October 23, 201114 yr I will say this, and only this, then I am done reading and posting in these threads. Please people, lets just circumvent these posts and all others like it that pop up by just letting them die. Don't post or respond to them. They will forever continue to pop up and posting and replying to them will just make them legit. Lets just let them die, and all just wait for the official post, because no matter who is right in the end...that is all we are left with.Love ya allMy two cents.....hope some will follow.William S. October 23, 201114 yr Anyone who bashes PMDG for release date issues: 1 has no life at all, 2: are royal pains, 3: think they know more about aviation and programming than PMDG do, and 4: STOP BOTHERING PMDG!!! how many times does it say subject to change, and how many times has it. its a courtesy for them to even say around a certain date. i hate people that use this against pmdg, its such a waste of time, these complaints are honestly the worst and most annoying kinds. go fly your product, i guarantee 1000% that you have not learned 100% of its functionality. October 23, 201114 yr I agree with the other guys, let's just stop this waste of time posting about things which, to be frank, are not that important. When the SP arrives it will be very much appreciated, but let's just leave things until it's ready... October 23, 201114 yr People want release dates, but PMDG doesn't hit them so said people get angry. People want release dates, PMDG says it'll be out when it's ready and people get angry. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Dan
October 23, 201114 yr oh dear the sticky topic is unpinned and locked - the boss is online so I guess he is about to write another delay :-) Brent Lewis
October 29, 201114 yr Author Flyerboy,Long time without logging into the forum. Who do you think you are to tell about stupid threads ? I saw some stupid and infant threads from you in this forum and I never chided you. I have asked a question to PMDG team and not to you. Respect other people and their oppinions. I saw your threads and you are far from to be a reference to be followed. And please follow forum rules and sign your posts.Adenilson
