Just wait, you maybe in for a surprise or two....
Yes! Exciting news in the December update. As nobody knows what that will be predicting it will be a surprise or two is hardly impressive.

Cheers, Bert

Was I talking about the December update in my post?

No you weren't. What I meant was a more general statement. We don't know what MS will share with us in future updates of the Flight page. Maybe there will be a surprise or two, maybe there won't be any surprise at all. Your guess is as good as mine. Like you said, just wait. Next month we'll know more. Can't wait for the speculation and assumptions this exciting December news will trigger biggrin.png

I don't know should be use here...Some of the past stuff I said about Flight you can take to the bank, of course some of that stuff is "kinda" obvious now after the release of some FAQ from MS but some of what I said about Flight is been debated still....

No, we don't know.As for taking some of your comments to the bank, it's hardly an achievement. You've made so many speculative comments based on nothing whatsoever that one of them is bound to be right. It says nothing about your level of knowledge or insight. So no, you know nothing whatsoever.

Well, as Howard says, actually 'we' might be the better word, because you don't know anything more than any of us. You have ofcourse made some (sometimes wild) assumptions based on what we do know from Microsoft. That doesn't mean that you know what the future holds regarding Flight. As all of us you speculate and assume. But please, feel free to enlighten me what you assume this 'surprise or two' will be.

You need to go back as far as you can and re-read some of my old post here and in other forums, they have been the same ...always...When Flight was announced the first thing I said about it is that it will be based on FSX, (SP3) everybody was ready to crusify me.....not anymore. (SP3 is just a name MS choose to call it Flight)When Flight was announced I said that MS will open a store for addons and everything you buy will have to come from the MS's store, piracy was the main reason for MS to do that, everybody was ready to crusify me again....not anymore.I also said that FSX addons would not be compatible wiith Flight....that statement almost started a riot....should i go on with other stuff?Do you remember when I said "pay as you go".....we'll see on this one.All of this was said by me when MS announced Flight, of course a lot of this make sense to you today because we received more info from MS and you can also see where MS is going with Flight, now you can also say that I was just plain lucky with my statement....fair enough., am I suppose to be lucky all the time?

Just because people don't argue with you anymore doesn't mean that you're right. It just means that they're tired of trying to convince you that the drivel coming from your mouth is anything but baseless speculation. One at a time;- Based on FSX. There is nothing to suggest that Flight is based on FSX's engine or assets. Your justification that you observed this due to over-sized houses and a partially buried nosewheel is ridiculous, and provides evidence that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. You've been told this numerous times by numerous developers. Take a hint.- You said that MS would have a store for addons. Really? Your powers of deduction are truly incredible, since they said exactly that in the very first FAQ that was there when they opened their website "From new game play elements and enhanced scenery and terrain to new aircraft and integrated content marketplace, it is an entirely new breed of virtual flight"- Everybody always knew that FSX stuff would not be immediately compatible with FSX. But hang on, didn't you just say a minute ago that Flight is FSX SP3? In that case I guess it will all work flawlessly. Why on earth wouldn't it?I'd love to know your justification that Flight is FSX SP3, beyond the ignorant 'facts' posted so far. I'm sure I've seen you post that this is true because Flight will use some of FSX's code. Of course it will. So I guess I'd be right in saying that Modern Warfare 3 is just a service pack for the original doom because one of the lines of code is the same?

So that was my problem! I thought that the FSX stuff would be immediately compatible with FSX. Maybe the the FSX stuff was made to be compatible with Flight? Hypnotized.gif

Since when did you come to that conclusion? Wait, I know when, not when I said it long time ago but when MS said that they will reused what ever they see fit from FSX....their way to say....we have started with FSX...blah blah blah. The only thing that will satisfy you is if I tell you where I got my info and it's not happening, I see you are just taking some part of what I said for your own deductions....Since you are talking about other developers not agreeing with me...well...read here, Nick N. also posted what he think Flight will be with other developers, do yourself a favor and keep an open mind...http://www.strikings...hp?topic=1867.0http://www.strikings...hp?topic=2255.0
My feelings aren't hurt. And I own a bunch of consoles. Your post made me laugh.Attacking people's intellectual capacity - and judging them to be inferior because they don't like in-depth flight simulators? And actually blaming them for the demise of "simulators?" What about X-Plane?I mean... REALLY?Funny stuff.
In another post I stated I do not like X plane 10 as well, after I have tried the demo I uninstalled it cause I do not like it.Regarding the second statement, I didn't want to offend anyone of course but I state that a player who have fun with an arcade like f.i. Battlefield 3 or MS Flight is less inclined to use the brain than a player fiddling with simulations.Arcade vs simulation is a matter of finger power vs brain power.-

You don't get it do you? read the FAQ on the Flight website and tell me where is written the program will be arcade.

It will be interesting to see what Microsoft has in mind to "appeal to a wider audience". Will it be a simulator dressed up as a game or a game dressed up as a simulator?
