I was thinking of buying a saitek yoke to replace my ch yoke but I think I'll hold off as it seems there are a lot of issues with the saitek. I've used a ch yoke for 10 years without a hitch and with the ngx with no issues. Maybe those of you with the saitek yoke could let me know if it's worth it or should I follow the old saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it".Sorry this is off topic but just been searching this forum and most problems are caused by this yoke and throttle setup. RSR even ordered one before sp1 to test an issue.

Remember with saitek yokes, after you load into FS you should unplug then replug your controller
Why? I fly fine with mine and never any problems. I gave away my CH yoke and love my Saitek. It is much better. The best hardware that I have bought lately for my NGX is the Throttletek G-737, to replace my CH Throttle. What an awesome difference!

I'm no expert, not at all. But I agree that you should not have to do this. In fact, I believe that you shouldn't ever do this unless your computer is not communicating with one of your controllers (and then my advice is to restart the computer rather than unplug and re-plug in your controllers. This is due to how Windows 7-64 (I'm not sure about other versions of Windows) allocated/assigns USB Ports and FSX interpretting the reassignment as a new controller. Several of the guys I fly with have seen this result in FSX creating new and unwanted assignments for controllers, which have to be deleted or you'll have controller movements/button presses result in unwanted actions.Be well.

The saitek yoke+rudder paddals work very fine for me. And I think RSR ordered the rudder paddals and not the yoke. However yesterday I ordered the Thrusmaster Warthog. I am looking forward to test it with the NGX (and with the A10 of course :D )

Hi all.. I am not sure I quite understand the problem, as I don't know what is this TA at which the problem starts. But anyway, I used to have some unpredictable A/T disconnects while taking off, and after some time I figured it to be due to throttle staggering between the two levers. If the stagger between the two engines exceeded a certain limit, the A/T will disconnect. My stagger was caused by improper calibration of my yoke. After I did the calibration, it seems to be gone. I also have to do this calibration every now and then.Hope that helps.

It is well worth it to have your auto-throttle disconnect, TO/GA button, reversers, flaps and spoilers where they are supposed to be. Also, because the travel movement of your throttle levers are realistic, you have much more control for manual flying and landing. It works absolutely perfect with the NGX.I struggled whether to spend that much on a piece of hardware for a flight sim, but I figured as realistic as the NGX is, it is hard to really enjoy it using the little finger levers of a CH Throttle Quadrant. The Throttletek G737 fits under your hand like the real 737 levers and has the full stroke of travel. I don't need all the cockpit hardware, because with TrackIR and EZCA, the NGX cockpit is perfect, but I wanted something that felt real under my hand. Most other throttle levers that compare with the G737, cost close to $3000.

OK I am at FL 200 on VATSIM and aircraft will not climb past 200 on VNAV even though next target is FL270 plus speed WILL NOT increase even though I have throttles at 102.6 N1Help must be a bug!?

I'm not an expert. Try to give some help though. Could you have a look at your TAT. At Fl200, it anyway should be way down below zero. If not, at such altitudes, you don't get enough power anymore for a further climb, due to the air density. Henk Altena

Are you using the new updated liveries with the latest NGX update? You may have a faulty install. Try uninstalling the NGX and re-installing in making sure that you don't have any anti-virus on.It's not a bug in the NGX because mine climbs fine. It may be just something with your install.

I'm just using the Saitek Pro-Flight yoke. It has been working fine and feels good. I just needed realistic feeling throttles under my hand to improve the NGX experience. I'm also using the Saitek Multi-Switch panel and the Saitek Radio panel. I like the multi-switch panel because of the larger gear handle. The radio panel is not bad, but the selector knobs are a little hard to use. It could be improved. The Throttletek G737 also has the engine cut-off switches which are nice and work real well. If I were rich, I would buy one of those motorized 737 throttle quadrants for about $3000. They also have the parking brake leaver, which the G737 didn't include.

I could buy a reasonable family car for 3000pounds here in the uk!!As nice as it is, the price of flight sim gear is just rediculouse...well my opinion anyway. When people like us buy this stuff, the profit margine for the manufactures are as bad as the uk bankers wages and bonus's.

I already have a car. What I don't have is a realistic throttle quadrant, which is why I am this ( II ) close to buying one of those G737 throttle quadrants. Ever since I've seen one in action, I can't get it off my mind. But I'm afraid that purchase would launch me into a full fledge home cockpit build, which I'm not sure I'm ready to do. If I did that, I might have to go to one of those bankers.Oh, sorry .... to the OP .... I think a full check of your hardware would be in order. Troubleshoot by de-installing one piece of hardware at a time and fly by the keyboard till you isolate the component. Then update the software/drivers or repair/replace the component. I would start with the yoke. FSUIPC?? Check all your presets.Good Luck

Try opening FSUIPC then click OK without making any changes. If A/C assumes LNAV and VNAV commanded flight start a ticket with PMDG, they are working on it. You might also try opening the Saitek Control Panel and leave it running in the background. Both of these "fixes" seem to work though we don't know why.
