Jumping on the ground !

Featured Replies

for me it was doing major jumping....and its definitely tied to movement...ie. faster plane is going to more rapid the jumping. It's almost as if it thinks the plane is rolling in the grass

I have seen this happen due to two seperate causes. One is of course, ASE. In the configuration manager, the same place you set up where the doors, the gear is, you click the box that says "Repair aircraft for pushback."The other, I was at a very small field with only two parking spots and a fuel station. I was parked too close to the fuel station, and fsx kept wanting to fill the plane with fuel, and for a split second it was successful, before the NGX reversed the action. The resulting spike in fuel load caused the plane to bob up and down. Now this is the second thread I have seen, in as many days where an honest question is asked, and a PMDG rep comes on with a douche bag response. Remind me again when your -ER package goes up for sale?
In my case: no add-ons, no fuel pump in sight.Bert Van Bulck

here you go...sorry I shot it with cell phone. And no thats not me shaking the camera. You notice the wheels going up and down...and what's funny is when i hit the grass it smooths out.

Me too: when I open a saved flight from EBBR at EBAW, the plane bumps around violently before coming to a stand-still. I never read all the docs for saving stuff in the PMDG completely so I didn't want to open a post for it...No add-ons.Bert Van Bulck
Please make sure the pogo stick is securely stored prior to takeoff... (LOL)

Gents-I've plugged in the locations you guys mention in this thread and do not see any behavior with the airplane jumping around.AES has a few known issues where it can trigger this, but it is my understanding that they also provide the ability to fix the problem. I am not an AES user, so those of you with the product will need to sort hat out.Steve: Your video shows a runway that clearly has "dirt" or "grass" assigned to its surface quality value..

PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM

You can find us at:  http://forum.pmdg.com

I have seen the jumping, but only with AES, the fix...if it can be called that, is to move the front wheel box forward within the AES config program.

I dont know if this applies to fsx, but I do know that in fs9 this problem did occur, if the runway was designated as bituminous.I was able to correct this by using ADE and changing the surface to ashphalt.By doing this the problem was solved. No more bumping on the runway!

If you have AES just reload the config and save the aircraft cfg.. within AES itself.. there is no problem at all with the contact points on the NGX . If you have AES and you don't have it working at one airport and you flying in with the NGX or any other plane for that matter this will occur.

Did you test with default FS9.1 aircraft?Do you remember which airport/runway for testing?

Vaughan,I dont recall the airports, but I do recall the bouncing with payware aircraft, associted with a bituminous/macadam surface as shown by ADE.It always occured on these surfaces. When changing to ashphalt/concrete the bouncing stopped. It did NOT ocurr whith default aircraft!

Well, maybe the bouncing could be created by changing concrete to bituminous/macadam surface with ADE?

Hello all,are you using EZCA? I had this problem and need to modify my ezca setup to stop it. No bumping now.Regardsabrupto
