December 12, 201114 yr 80% of the time it works fine but really don't know why in the remaining 20% I've got this problem....it ruined the fantastic shuttle eve LFGP-EGLL on IVAO.....GRRRRRRR....Andrea Arnao
December 12, 201114 yr Author Ok. Got it running fine with the SP5 installed and all all on my FSX computer.I also just installed the display provider on my laptop, and now have to figure out how to get the two to talk to each other, as I want to use the laptop due to sound cutting out everytime I click my efb.Wish me luck , I have never set up a network before. It won't mess up the wireless internet I have on my laptop to have it connected to my computer will it? William Sequeira
December 12, 201114 yr EFB is Amaizing you can put this in a 2 display and you have alot information and check list.Capitan
December 12, 201114 yr Follow the ASE network instructions. You need simconnect and staic IP's on both machines. It is worth it to have EFB displayed at all times. Brad Rich
December 12, 201114 yr for me EFB was a deal breaker as I have only one computer and I can't see the EFB in full screen mode (I must have full screen mode as My FPS drop drastically in Window mode).I do have two screens, however when I go into full screen mode the 2nd screen darkens out and I can't drap or see any "outside" FSX applications on it.the only thing I can drag to the second screen are panels , e.g. SHIFT +3, etc. those I can drag to the second screen.does any one know how to over come my problem?P.S. Running FSX in window mode is not an option. Joel Strikovsky

December 12, 201114 yr You do not need static IP addresses for either computer. As long as your router/switch is passing out DHCP addressing. Start the provider computer first. Ron Musick, PP-ASEL-IA AOPA # 00642403
December 12, 201114 yr Author Well, I actually got it up and running. Thank you guys. Took me a little bit and as always I had to get ###### at it first for not working due to user error and hen had to RTFM . After that it was a snap, working great connected via network. One last question. When I reinstall the newest navagraph, I install it into both places right? The one for Aivlasoft and the default navigraph folder in the fsx directory? That was my initial problem, I was trying to point it at where it had originally made a folder, not the one created by efb. December 12, 201114 yr I am about 95% sure that Navigraph is installed only where the data provider resides, the FSX machine. I am not in front of my computer to check. Load it on the FSx machine, start it up. The Display Unit will tell you the Navigraph cycle being used. Brad Rich

The DataProvider will also show what Navigraph cycle is being used as it launches. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
December 12, 201114 yr Author Ok, I think I figured it out. There is an actual different download for AivlaSoft AIRAC updates from Navigraph.I have the most current one for the PMDG 737ngx, but as they are not installed into the same folder, I now know that I need to download the one from Navigraph for the EFB. Kinda disappointing, as they are not interchangeable, but oh well. I am liking this program already. William Sequeira

December 12, 201114 yr Author Ya, I read about that. I will have to run it after every update to scenery and what not. This stuff is borderline complex....lol. I honestly think it makes it more fun.....after FSX, I go into nothing anymore thinking it will be a simple setup. William Sequeira
