December 21, 201114 yr Have you update your EFB datafile via Navigraph? Ron Musick, PP-ASEL-IA AOPA # 00642403
December 21, 201114 yr Author If and when I usually find anything wrong with Navigraphs info, and I can prove it, via rw charts, I send that info to them, and they usually correct it in a future update. They make mistakes sometimes on things like that. Also, noticed that their hold directions are wrong too also sometimes. William Sequeira
December 21, 201114 yr Okay, thanks. I noticed that the holding pattern was incorrect when I flew the missed approach for rw 12 enry. The navigation directions from the Navigraph chart put the holding pattern slightly off from the path plotted in EFB. Perhaps I will drop them an email... Frank Olaf Sem-Jacobsen
December 21, 201114 yr This EFB, will it Automatically Calculate a route, fuel, winds aloft, reserver and Alternate fuel. Im looking for a COMPLETE replacment of FSBUILD, but most of these planner don't give you accurate fuel burns based on weight, temp, wind, mach etc etc. I'd also like to use it for IFR Ga flying. I kinda think Im gonna wait until PFPX comes out. Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
December 22, 201114 yr One thing I have yet to work out with EFB is how to get rwy ILS freqs and approach course headings. Easy with FSC as its displayed on the moving map but can't find these details using EFB. I have had EFB for a while now but I also use FSC and are starting to get less convinced about EFB (apart from its moving map which is better than the very old school FSC one).Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." December 22, 201114 yr So let me get this straight...if I install this on my FSX computer I can then have my lap top produce the charts? They are both on the same router. Also I have a second graphics card installed for physics, can I install a third monitor to that card and show the charts that way? The reason I'm asking because I use the laptop for my charts now which I can get for free via the internet. Is it worth it to spend that kind of money as I get that "stuff" for free.Or save for somthing else like ezdoc? Thanks

I also use EFB without connecting to FSX to test plans and save them directly to FSX flightplan folders. (PMDG etc). There are various ways of setting up EFB and I am one of the lucky ones with extra monitors etc. It does work on one computer with FSX very well - but have found the extra monitors help the display for any extra sofware I run.EFB is one of the best programs I have bought for flight simming and works great on my home network. They may not be "physical" charts as such - which I still use to cross check if you want too.Denis

As far as the charts are concerned, the advantage of EFB is that the charts that are viewed on the display screen are directly related to the flight you are performing at the time and will change any time you for instance choose another STAR (or are required by ATC). No searching for the relevant chart, so that the displayed charts are always relative to your intended plan. I am a very new (and impressed) user of this app., so this is just my observation so far.Regards, Rick Hobbs
December 22, 201114 yr so the software will find my lap top and connect it to my FS PC ? ........ I'll just download it and see what all the fuss is about....30 day trial can't beat thatThanks everyone
February 3, 201214 yr Hi just got the demo version and trialing it now before i buy it which most likely i will. The only problem i got now when in windowed mode and using the short cut keys to bring up the menu which it does, when i press any option the box disappears and nothing happens and the only way i can view the efb is to select it manually from the bottom task bar. The reason iam posting in here is that i still waiting for a reply for regristing on the efb forum still, and would like to see if any of you had similar problems in your set up thx I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
