Lost fuel flow meter

Featured Replies

But I fully agree that if this bug is known like the fuel pump it should be corrected of course.
problem is we know it will not be fixed. Things that have not made the SP1 rarely has been corrected in the past and we all know where we stand with the 337

No response from the team. Too bad. Or do they never respond? I'm not to familiar with these forums. Anyway, if this doesn't get fixed I would be very disappointed...
No they never respond here. This is the "Unofficial" carenado forum and is mainly used by carenado to only publish "release anouncements" at the most. The help you get here is 99% from fellow simmers that try to fix what they can fix but some things like model fixes is only in their hands and we cannot fix that, otherwise it would have been fixed by this time if we had access to the model to correct fuel selectors and description..If you really want to interact with them there is a support ticket system/email on the formal carenado site.
Unless I am wrong shouldn't the Collins COM1 and NAV1 be slaved to the GPS corresponding readouts as well?
Unless I'm misunderstanding you, no they shouldn't. The Collins radios are configured as COM2 and NAV2 and are completely seperate, as they should be.Of course, the Collins Nav radio says "Collins Com" unless you have Bert's corrected bitmaps: see http://forum.avsim.net/topic/358135-collins-nav-radio/ :-)Scott

I missed that. Thank you as that was driving me crazy!

i Guys,Without meaning to sound silly...Do we have to wait for Carenado to fix it...or can a "Savvy" forum user do it on their behalf?I for one wouldn't have a clue where to start..Dave

How many customers have e-mailed Carenado about this problem? If there are enough people I'm sure that Carenado will listen

Carenado frequent this forum to announce releases, so they should also see these issues.. Why need to email them.. This is a support forum even though unofficial, they think it good to come here and use this as a platform to make announcements and if they not reading these threads and see there is obvious flows and then deliberately turn a blind eye because they only have the next release on the horizon so that they can make another fast buck, it says alot about carenado never fixing planes planes properly. This is a trend from the first plane they released till today. Show me one plane where they have gone back and properly corrected a plane. If the guru's here dont fix it carenado surely dont do and have NO intention to ever do that. Even their support packs that they might release is fixing only one or two things and even then they need to bring out a second SP. Carenado is a plane sausage machine where they get customers to pay to be beta testers and even then they dont listen to paying customers. We are so used to this mentality of Carendo to just keep releasing new planes without ever fixing anything properly, 95% of users just go with the flow. Why waste time wrinting emails if the proof is here in the pudding. Carenado dont care, never have and never will. That is why they will forever keep producing nice sets of flying textures and that is that. Just simple "eye candy". Nice flying texture sets with very nice flight characteristics dont cut it for most people when simple gauges is not even being corrected and released.Wanna bet that in 6 months from now this flowmeter and fuelpump switches will not have been fixed. Why because they wil have already released at least 2 new "BETA" version planes and have another 2 in development, while nothing last 6 all still have flaws.Life with it, or live without it. That is the facts. Will I still buy there incomplete planes. Yes indeed, like 95% of customers, we are so used to this, we just go along and buy some eyecandy, after all carenado planes do look good.. and lately fly also good, but still a shame to have to live with some issues and knowing it will never be rectified.Unfortunately that is the reality.

It would be nice if simple things like ADF radios and whatnot would have more functionality or transponders...A

+1 with bliksimpieThis is the correct description of the carrenado business plan. But why should they change this behavior? Most of their releases are praised by enthusiastic reviewers and decorated with fancy awards...

Don't know how many 337s Carenado has sold so far but until now a whopping 7 people have noticed the FF problem. Looks like just 2 of them e-mailed Carenado.Delaying other projects for a problem that doesn't even remotely hinder the operation of the 337 for just 2 customers doesn't make sense from a commercial point of view.Maybe those complaining should consider investing just 2min to e-mail Carenado instead of complaining over and over again. At least it would be worth a try.

Wow, that's a good one! :( When you click the support tab on the Carenado website you get to a page with a lot of questions. One of them is: Is there any support forums for Carenado products? The answer given in the link is:Yes, this is the link:http://forums1.avsim...-support-forum/Guess what? That's exactly the link I'm at now. So I expect support here. And even if there was only one person with this issue, as a paying customer that person would deserve a proper response, or even the team looking into it! What kind of nonsense is this, that it doesn't make sense from a commercial point of view?? :( But Ok, I e-mailed the team as well...

Amen..!

I also agree with the above...I think using the whole communtity as Beta testers is a good idea as you get a very broad spectrum of users flagging up issues...However,What I don't get is why Carenado don't open up a new topic for "Issues" to be posted in to for a new release and then when they have enough bugs and gripes...or a given closing date... issue a service pack correcting them ALL...Dave

As Rimshot already mentioned Carenado refer to this location as "support" forums. And while "only" 7 users have reported the issue-how many others do not frequent or post on forums?I also find it a bit annoying your mentioning the issue does not "hinder" the operation of the model-very true. But...and a big but....for those of us that prefer to fly in a realistic fashion having a non-functioning fuel flow meter and fuel tank switches breaks my immersion and wrecks the takeoff procedure to an extent (i.e. advance and monitor rear engine first before bringing up power to the front).Would you fly a real world twin with this issue? of course not...you would be ringing the A&P guy ASAP.And yes I can cheerfully email Fernando directly having his addy from doing an X-Plane review. But I shouldn't have to given this is the sole support forum with multiple reports of the same problem. This actually puts me off recommending Carenado products to others for the time being. And its a shame these little outstanding issues remain given how wonderful the C337 is overall.Little things DO matter. It's called attention to detail.
