December 22, 201114 yr Commercial Member Thx Tom for the quick feedback. Yea, I just opened it and the engines were running but maybe I need to perform the proper procedures to have the systems up, looking correct. Did not think the CS aircraft were that involved... so this could be a good thing. :smile:Happy Holidaze,Clutch Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!) December 22, 201114 yr After seeing this thread, I ended up buying the 707 last night for $12.53. A great price! Growing up, I fondly remember seeing the 707's at KBWI ("Friendship Airport" back then). The 707 was the quintessential jet airliner.Problem is, I bought the Pro Line 707 Captain. Since I usually fly the Cessna 172, my holiday will be spent trying to get the thing started and hopefully taxiing about. I am humbled by the complexity and hope my purchase won't become a cold and dark trophy collecting virtual dust! Right now, I'm staring at the Flight Engineer's upper panel looking for a main power switch.Time to hit the books. :Shocked:Happy holidays to all !
December 22, 201114 yr Lou explained some stuff on starting her here. http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1286115031/15 and I did here. http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1286115031/47#47Maybe it helps in conjunction with the books. C172 to B707 is quite a step, but maybe one that's worth it. :(
December 22, 201114 yr I was hesitating but finally got the 767 captain. At 23:55 of course! 9.99 euro is way too tempting to forget once it gets into your mind.

I'm encouraged and looking forward to taking a long continental flight, exploring all the cabin details (with the autopilot engaged).

December 23, 201114 yr Man, I'm glad everyone got their reduced price. Me - I was charged the full price even though I purchased the aircraft during the 1-day time frame. I sent a message to Captain Sim but have had no reply. Oh well.fb
December 23, 201114 yr I was charged the full price even though I purchased the aircraft during the 1-day time frameWhere are you from?I mean if you are from outside Europe, are you sure you tried your purchase within the UTC time frame?
December 23, 201114 yr As I understand it, UTC is 6 hours ahead of my time - CST. I purchased the item at 2:45am on the 21st. Is this not in the correct window. UTC should have been 8:45am that same day. Perhaps I didn't get into the correct window.fbOooops. I just looked at the original e-mail posting. The sale was on the 22nd and I ordered my purchase on the 21st. That's what old age does to ya.fb
