Hello. I am a purchaser of your very nice 737ngx. However, for the last few months I have been pulling my hair out trying to get this working. I have fsx sp2 installed on a external hard drive, and normally play it on a 64 bit computer. The issue is, none of the gauges, or buttons, or animations work on the aircraft. All gauges are black, and the flaps don't go down, neither does the engines move or anything. One clue on why this is happening is because when I try to re-install, I can't install it on my nice 64-bit computer because it gives me "the installation cannot continue because a valid fsx location was not found in the registry." I installed the flight1 fsx registry repair, but it still says it. So I have to install the ngx on my 32-bit computer that can't handle fsx. Then when it's installed, I play on my newer computer and nothing is working. I am about at my Witt's end, is there anything out there that can fix this mess? Thanks!

So, let me get this right: you've got FSX installed on an external HDD, and you're trying to use it on two different computers??You need to be an expert user of FSX if you expect to be successful doing that... (there are FSX files installed in c:Users and c:ProgramData that will not be captured on your external HDD, registry entries, and god knows what else).Good luck!

Yes I have filed a ticket, and they haven't answered for months. And I'm sorry I'm so stupid. I'm not an expert and my computer does not have enough memory for fsx...

You´ll have to log into your account and check the ticket yourself I guess./ Leffe

I did and they haven't answered. I filed it in August. Should I submit again?

Rather than dodge the problem, face it.You have a problem with your better pc, but move to something that cant run FSX (and then expect to run the NGX on top of that..)...Also,like the above, having fsx on a external drive and trying to run it on 2 pc's is asking for trouble.

As previously mentioned FSX and most windows programs use some system folders and the windows registry to store settings and license information. Running on another computer without those info will result in crashes, errors, or program not running.PMDG softwares are piracy protected so it is probable that using the ngx folders on another computer will not work. Why pmdg didn't asked to the ticket? Maybe that it is because what are you doing is something that must not be done.

There are definitely no unanswered tickets from August in our system right now. In general everything is answered within a few hours - 24-48 at the max when we're really busy.I'm going to echo what others have said - what you're trying to do is not going to work. Major Windows programs like FSX aren't self contained - they rely on registry settings, AppData folder info etc that are created when the program is installed from the CDs/DVDs. The NGX's license is also something specific to the machine it's installed on - you can't just flip it over to another computer and have it work. You've also got issues that will result from trying to run the sim off of a slow external HD (I'm assuming you're not using eSATA, which is the only way it'd work well) - the HD needs a fast interface to be able to stream the textures and terrain etc in as the sim is running.

Okay. So if I do a clean install on my computer's hard drive of FSX acceleration, will it fix the problem?I am worried that installing FSX will dramatically slow down my computer.

If all is installed within the computer with fast connections (SATA, E-sata for external drives, and so on) the system will be faster than USB.But I don't know if you are allowed to install the ngx product on 2 machines...

He managed to evade that pretty well and still get a PMDG response Raised%20Eyebrow.gif

I'm so frustrated.... I feel like i'm never going to get this working. I'm considering a refund.I did a full install of FSX on my comp. Installed NGX and Update; and it's STILL not working at all. No buttons work, no gauges, engines aren't working; I don't know what to do. I think I have some curse when it comes to add-on airplanes..Here are my specs in case you need to know.MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bitIntel Celeron CPU 900 @ 2.20Ghz, 3.0 GB RAM, Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
