December 31, 201114 yr I already have the pleasure of flying with Bert's updated files, and while it's a little thing, it's really nice to have the Collins' look correct in the panel. This is not the first time that Bert has helped me out (he got me around some learning issues with Reality XP GPS installations) so I wanted to be extra sure to voice my thanks.So... THANKS BERT!Scott

December 15, 201213 yr Hi Bert, In the spirit of "teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" I attempted to edit the nav/comm gauge bitmap myself using >Gauge >Edit selected Gauge >Edit Bitmap in FS Panel Studio. I edited the bitmap in Photoshop and saved. The modified bitmap shows nicely in the Bitmap Preview and the VCockpit01 window in Panel Studio which is saved and closed. Loading up the Skymaster in FSX their is no change to the gauge. This gauge appears to be embedded in RadioC337.dll. The FS Panel Studio Help does not shed any other light on this. What did I miss? I have some other gauges I would like to "clean up" if I can get this working. Thanks for all your help here. Skyscraper
December 15, 201213 yr Author The bitmaps are in the texture\common folder for the C337 and their names start with gauges_337B. They are saved in a compressed bmp format, so if you indeed changed one of those (four) bitmaps, you also need to check the filesize and make sure it matches the originals. I use imagetool.exe to decompress the bmp files and after editing, use it again to convert back to the compressed format. Maybe there is a simpler way, but I have not found it.. Bert

Thanks Bert Of course those worked perfectly. I would have sworn I looked for the gauge bitmaps in that directory while I was dimming down the panel night lighting but didn't see them, so the 10 min. fix took a few hours. The good news is the gauges are now dimmed down as well. Skyscraper
June 3, 201313 yr Honest question: why don't some developers handle these minor issues with updates? It doesn't seem like much, yet despite ample evidence of an issue, some just never bother.
