I should. I really should.But I cannot just sit by and let all the misinformation posted on this forum go unchallenged, when I know that it is not at all accurate.I don't spend all my spare time on the X-Plane forum, tearing that sim down (even though I didn't like the A-Plane 10 demo enough to upgrade).

it is embarrassing and from what I`ve played I cannot ever see this being a serious flight sim.

Hate to post this in two threads but:I'm going to give the vague statements of the few a listen, especially when they are beta testers, don't (I'm assuming) work for Microsoft, and have nothing personal to gain from going against the core view that Flight is going to be a dismal product.I've read Arwen's posts over the last couple of weeks, and she seems very intelligent and well read, and I would bet that she has looked at the file structure of Flight in addition to the overall product and likes what she sees. So I for one am going to be positive here and give her the benefit of the doubt that she has seen something in the product that holds promise. Things that I, as someone who hasn't tried the product, haven't seen. Why else would she make statements defending Flight? She knows that she will be lambasted if Flight turns out like the majority thinks it will.Come on people....this argument is getting um.... STALE. :(

Thanks!Yes, I've really been sticking my neck out here lately ... which is a pretty dumb thing to do, when you're in the minority, and even dumber when you're one of the few female members (but I am a blonde, so it isn't really my fault). But I do feel like I've made myself a bit of a target, when I would much rather just blend into the background and spend most of my time here just enjoying reading the posts of others (and benefiting from their knowledge).I am not an expert on flightsims, but I've been exposed to them for most of my life, so I think I have a pretty good handle on what makes a flightsim really good. For me, the biggest thing is immersion ... and that means mostly realism.Flight is not going to be perfect when it is released. The biggie is that it will just be a core and the rest will come as DLC. I would MUCH rather it was released as a boxed DVD ... as a finished product, but I'm will to give it a chance, because I see the potential of Flight and it isn't like we are blessed with an abundance of new flightsims. I do have some definite concerns about it, and there's still a LOT that I'm still taking on faith. But my intuition is telling me that Flight just might surprise a lot of people here, if they will give it a chance.

It's a strange definition of "misinformation" that includes direct quotes from official sources. Everything I've ever said about Flight is backed up 100% by Microsoft press releases and videos, but you want to waltz in here and insist that I'm wrong. Unless MIcrosoft is spreading their own misinformation through official channels, I'm afraid your accusation doesn't have a leg to stand on.

It is very easy to take any quote out of context. Nowhere does MS state that Flight will not benefit from using a joystick over the mouse, or that there are no significant disadvantages to using a mouse. This is NOT true, there are advantages to controlling Flight with a joystick/throttle/'pedals (as I've already stated here). Therefore you are spreading misinformation. BTW: the facts are on my side, as your opinion and speculation are not facts.
