January 23, 201214 yr Ahh ok. Then people are getting confued with what's being talked about in this thread I think. I myself am talking about the spoilers working period. I do not care about any replay action. I am not talking about recording at all and not sure how they even got thought of from what I mentioned was happening (or not happening) for me. I'll go out on a limb though and assume since they don't work in the normal operation of the sim for me, then they also won't record. For the ones only concerned about recording times where certain things don't work, I do remember RSR starting a post back when the 748 was released, asking how people did it, So I atleast remember that recording it never auto played many things, like flaps, spoilers, etc. But again, I myself am referring to them working in normal operation. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
January 23, 201214 yr Ryan...Regarding sound. Do you have any idea if flightsin sound studio would enable us to reduce the engine noise volume?Or perhaps you can suggest a method we can achieve this.Constantly adjusting engine sound levels in FSX is a pain. That isn't the case on my PC, Martin. However, I am only running FSX at 1280x1024 resolution, and the shimmering bezel lines aren't a big issue for me.Hi Chris, 1280x1024 is the same resolution I use. And the shimmering is a very big issue, very noticeable.perhaps you are using an ATI card? nvidia 580GTX for me.As I say, I discovered this morning that sparse grid supersampling fixes it, haven't done a thorough test yet to see if the performance is still adequate with the higher setting. January 23, 201214 yr For the record, I've just discovered that...The shimmering bezel lines vanish with Antialiasing Transparency mode set to Sparse Grid Supersampling.I'm still to asses whether the impact on performance is too great or not.I intend to try all of the antialiasing transparency modes.Hi Martin,I found 2 x SGS as the sweet spot. With 4x, you get hamered in cloud. Reduces shimmer, esp in the NGX quite a bit. I use a 580, so lesser cards may yield a different result, no doubt.Cheers Edited January 23, 201214 yr by ZK-SUH System: MSFS2024, ASUS Rog Stryx Z790-A, Intel i9-14900KF, Asus ROG Ryujin III 360 , Asus Hyperion Case,Rog Stryx 4090 OC, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD, 1Tb Samsung 860 EVO SSD,64Gb G Skill Memory, Asus Aura 1200W Gold PSU,Win 11 ,LG C4 48" 4K OLED Screen., Airbus TCA Full Kit, Stream Deck XL. You can save different Inspector profiles in .nip files and if you set Windows to open those with Inspector, it will apply the profile by double clicking the .nip file. What I'm saying is that some people may be trying to view a replay of the flight to confirm whether or not the spoilers are active. They're not looking at the aircraft in real time, and that may be one of the reasons people are seeing an "issue." Because of what I've mentioned and you've reiterated in this post (replay doesn't show advanced animations in some cases), using the replay function to confirm the spoilers work or not could cause someone to believe they don't inaccurately. I do not care about any replay action. I.I thought you made that clear when you noted that the annunciator wasn't going on. I can't really help you, but I can say that I used to have this problem, but between the SP and using FS2Crew, they always go on now (at least the light does). If it were something where landing at too fast or too a slow a speed would stop them from deploying (which was my thought based on my experiences above), I would have assumed Ryan would have mentioned it as part of the logic of the program. But, that can't be it. If you think it's one of your add ons (like FSP), try a short flight without it. That's the best I got, sorry, man. January 23, 201214 yr @Julian and DarioThanks for your suggestions lads. I'm messing about with my new monitor at the moment, I'll try some of your suggestions when I get the chance.

January 24, 201214 yr Commercial Member They do not work at all on my PC (spot view, wing view, replay mode). You didn't specifically mention that, so it was a reasonable point out on my part. Are you sure you've set the aircraft up properly? The spoilers were armed prior to touchdown, and your hardware isn't sending spikes interfering with the prop reverse range? I've also heard if you come in grossly over your speed, they won't deploy (I'm guessing because of how they were coded). Kyle Rodgers
January 27, 201214 yr I did some flight testing with the spoilers, as I noticed they were not deploying (no green light on reverse thrust activation, even though armed).I tracked it down to an issue with the thrust lever not selecting full idle thrust on touchdown, such that reverse thrust could not be selected...I just need to sort out the thrust lever position and assure idle before selecting reverse...Then they work, and also retract on selecting idle again...A Andrew Entwistle
