February 6, 201214 yr Hi,Just wondering if a utility like Rob Barendrecht's push back could be used by the NGX. I'm having a lot of issues with the build-in push back system, you always have to sort of estimate where you're going to end up after the push and most of the time I end up on the grass or in another airplane.I would very much prefer a pushback where I can steer the plane myself. EAS maybe ? Martin Bunjes
February 6, 201214 yr As far as I know (I remember reading that last weekend) the PMDG pushback system simply uses the default FSX pushback system... so you could use the keyboard commands for that. And if that is true, you should also be able to use any other pushback addon for the NGX. Just give it a try, I'd say. :wink:EDITFound it. It was a footnote in Tom Risagers tutorial:"Behind the scenes the NGX uses the default FSX pushback mechanism (Shift-P to push back, “1” to turn tail to the left “2” to make tail go right). So don’t press the “1” or “2” keys on your keyboard while the airplane is being pushed back, unless you want to change direction." Edited February 6, 201214 yr by J van E
February 6, 201214 yr Jeroen is correct. You can steer it with FSX's default pushback steering keys: 1 for left and 2 for right (assuming the push has started and you've not mapped them to any other keys) I don't use the PMDG push..I just hit shift-p and off I gobestjake JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte

EAS maybe ?Can recommend AES, IMHO most realistic software for ground actvities! Software is free for various airports, for other you have to buy credits. ------------------------ Regards, Otto Schäfer

February 6, 201214 yr gsx is one price works on all fsx airports u dont need creditsYes, but AES is customized for each supported airport and therefore much better then GSX :wink:E.g. GSX got no animated jetwaysBut maybe it is a good idea to have both products: GSX for FSX default airports and AES for addons. February 6, 201214 yr What's GSX ?I just purchase GSX three days ago and have to say it is the perfect add on for FSX for me. The absolute number one reason: Compatible with any FSX default airports + addons like for instance Flightbeam KSFO, which i also have. The push back has worked 100% perfectly on seven flights so far (one including KSFO). I also might add that so did the Marshaling feature work perfectly. The big selling point for me: "One Price", "One Time"Regards, Rick Hobbs
February 6, 201214 yr GSX is a top notch addon, and the human animations are much better. Also as stated it works with any airport without buying extra credits etc.I have maybe 20 airports paid for with the AES system but since GSX came out I see no need to use it. Only real drawback (and for some its a big one) is the lack of jetways. February 6, 201214 yr Push backs?Slew mode. (Press Y) not as immersive, but gets the job done.FSX push back (As stated above)AES. Works on a pay scheme. I can afford it, but is it worth it? I can't, in good conscious, recommend this addon for the pricing scheme alone.GSX: $40 and no more payments. Works at all airports (not all gates as I found out on my ATR72 flights this weekend)IMO, if you are in doubt with any addon's built in push back, just go straight back (no turns) until you get a feel for the distance. The feel for the tail direction and angle will come after you try it awhile. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma
