February 15, 201214 yr Hi,I frequent Simviation, and found this on thier home page.http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=Alejandro+Rojas+Lucena&x=12&y=8the top one is a modification to the default 737-800. Includes working wipers, with rain effect. Working Autobrake switch, GPWS, and...a realistic FMC!After looking for the folder, I installed this, WOW what an upgrade! The VC is still awful when compared to high-quality payware, but rain effect is there, as well as GPWS, and the FMC is also functional.Just something for the guys who still use default, but don't want to pay for a step up.
February 15, 201214 yr Looks cool. Thanks for the head's up! Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

February 16, 201214 yr Despite looking so promising, for some reason I don't have a clue how to get it installed. Do you merge the folders with the original default, or replace them entirely? I'm usually fine with this kind of thing but I can't get my head round this one. There's no decent instructions in the readme either.edit: No worries, got it, I stupidly tried to add lots of liveries at the same time for it, it messed everything up. February 16, 201214 yr Brilliant! Thanks for this heads up! Happy Flying, Clem Wu Beta Tester for OZx, Iris Simulations and Shade.
February 16, 201214 yr How did you do it Will ?Tried at first to install the files to a seperate place then move them manually to the default 737 folder, but the way I should've done it and the way it worked was to just install it straight onto the main FSX folder, it then finds it's own way.I could do with some tips on getting the FMC working though, don't have a clue.
February 16, 201214 yr Yes, thanks for sharing that. Looking forward to giving it a try.Regards, PowerSpec G426 PC running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit OS, Intel Core i7 11700K @ 3.60GHz 30 °C, 4089MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 , ASUS TUF Z590-Plus Gaming motherboard, Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SSD, Samsung 750 EVO 500GB SSD, Acer Predator X34 34" curved monitor (external view), RealSim Gear G-1000 avionics suite, RealSim Gear GNS 450, Slavix Stay Level Custom Metal Panel, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Redbird Alloy THI, Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals.
February 16, 201214 yr This isn't bad as a budget upgrade to a default ac. The vnav on the fmc needs a little more work however; it calculated my final climb segment and cruise speed at 477 kts which blew a few cobwebs out of the engines I can tell you! :-)
February 20, 201214 yr Hi I also had a look and liked it a lot, not having the time like some heavy pilots to sit down with the PMDG and get it flying this might be right up my street. I was wondering though is there an updated FDE file for the default 737 someone has done that added with this upgrade would be superb. Thanks Shaun
February 20, 201214 yr There is also an update now. Solves some issues that have been reported. Just install over the original upgrade. Same link as before (http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=Alejandro+Rojas+Lucena&x=12&y=. I've tried this upgrade out and it's given me a couple of bugs, but that may be the cause of FSX's shared cockpit in multiplayer. Otherwise, this addon is spectacular! Couple of things I don't like, but in all respect, spectacular credit has to be given to the developer! Happy Flying, Clem Wu Beta Tester for OZx, Iris Simulations and Shade.
February 20, 201214 yr I am all over this, I fly with the default 737 and have always wanted a somewhat improved VC. While I would probably love the PMDG I just do not have the time to go through the learning curve at this time, hopefully this make my flying the default 737 more pleasurable. Tried at first to install the files to a seperate place then move them manually to the default 737 folder, but the way I should've done it and the way it worked was to just install it straight onto the main FSX folder, it then finds it's own way.I could do with some tips on getting the FMC working though, don't have a clue.Look through your downloaded zip file, there is an FMC folder and appears to be an 8 pg manual regarding the FMC.
