February 25, 201214 yr Okay...so I have read every post in this thread, and have watched the video for Accu-feel at the Simmarket website. However, I am still a little uncertain as to how much benefit I would get out of this. Obvsiously, the price is excellent and the product would seem like a good risk vs. reward. I almost never fly any GA aircraft in FSX since I am a RW single engine land pilot, and it seems that the GA aircraft gain the most benefit from this product. I fly only commerical jets in the sim, so I am wondering if anyone can give a little bit if a summary as to how this program enhances 737, 757, 767, 747, MD-80, etc.. I apologize if this has been asked before elsewhere and I missed it. I know that it offers some benefit for the jets, but I am just curious as to how noticeable the benefts are. Thanks in advance for any input.Cheers, Pete Pete Solov - Lake in the Hills 3CK and Schaumburg Regional 06CProud AOPA Member - PPL 2001Real World Piper Cherokee Pilot
February 25, 201214 yr I too fly jets, mainly the default 737-800.I am glad I purchased the product. It does add some nice effects, like hearing, along with seeing to some extent, the effect of bumps on the taxiiway/runway on the jet. Tire squeel on landing, brakes squeeling when applied while the aircraft is moving at a certain speed or above, the sound of the wind over the spoiler,.Also there is a different, and better to me, wind sound as I am flying. On one of my flights, I got very close to the overspeed for the aircraft, and saw some slight buffetting of the aircraft.I have only flown a couple of flights so far, so cannot comment extensively , but it certainly has made a difference, I really like it so far. February 25, 201214 yr This is the kind of fun, exciting product that really helps reinvigorate my enjoyment of FSX. Thanks, A2A!!
February 25, 201214 yr I think the most benefit from this is going to be in GA / smaller aircraft.+1 and Air Force fighters (as depicted in their video).Best regards,Jim
February 25, 201214 yr Author One of the things I love about the A2A Cub is cracking open the left window and getting some wind noise and then opening it completely and getting a different and even louder noise. When I open the windows in some of my add-ons I get nothing compared to opening the doors. I think this is being considered for a future update - I hope so.Edit - sorry, just seen this over in the A2A forumsIn DevelopmentThis has passed initial research tests and is actively being developed- Support for custom doors / windows. Also, being able to adjust the point at which the doors are opened / closed. Will support gradually opening / closing windows, like our Accu-Sim B-17.- Open Cockpit Aircraft- gForce body stress sounds :( Edited February 25, 201214 yr by St Mawgan 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
February 25, 201214 yr Yes, so much is possible. We did actually write and test new turbulence code, but decided to keep it out of the first release. We did not want to bite off too much and first establish a solid base with the community, make sure any technical issues are known, then we can slowly expand out. So far, we are at about the 1% technical issue point, which is slightly higher than our aircraft, but is pretty good considering this is a global expansion.BTW, thank you guys for posting the compliments. Our whole team is excited about the response so far.Scott.Scott,1%, is that a typo? What is at the 5% point, 10% point?Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

I only fly one GA, Bay Tower's RV-7, and it already has great sounds. Maybe no wind sounds when you open the canopy but I never do that during flight. :(
February 25, 201214 yr Larger commercial airliners respond really well because their cabins are so quiet and the flight is smooth. You can really hear the fuselage sounds, friction wind, gear, flaps, airbrakes, etc. We also have a pretty nice cabin shimmy / rattle that was made specifically for these larger commercial aircraft with their tighter cabins (Cabin Integrity slider to the right). We modeled these sounds from our own Boeing 737 recordings. You can hear these when you have a good head of steam down the runway and the pavement seams send those little shocks through the cabin. Also, we tested every Carenado product and our testers seem to like the results.Scott.My personal opinion now that I have a few more minutes under my belt???? Scott, y'all screwed up big time...You should have charged twice as much!!! :(

I fly none of the default aircraft and have not for a while. Even though the price is right, I still wonder if it makes sense to buy something to get little use based on my preferred aircraft. Either way though this looks like a great addon and I may buy anyway just for curiousity sake.Cheers, Pete Pete Solov - Lake in the Hills 3CK and Schaumburg Regional 06CProud AOPA Member - PPL 2001Real World Piper Cherokee Pilot
February 25, 201214 yr I'm using it with the NGX ..It doesn't get in the way.the sounds are very nicely done and to be honest they are more bangs.rattles and squeeks ,exactly what you would hear in a real 737. taking off now ,sounds like a frieght train (i need to lower some sliders).but it does sound very good. steve-0 REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett

February 25, 201214 yr Commercial Member Scott,1%, is that a typo? What is at the 5% point, 10% point?RayNo, 1% is correct. If >99% of the customers are up and running after release, then beta testing / development was a success. This is where the 1% threshold comes from. Our biggest nightmare, in all seriousness, is to have a product come out and have some major issue on day 1. The majority of this credit goes to our beta group, most of which have been with us for many years. They are an amazing group of professionals. They know the drill, and rip every product we give them to shreds.Scott.
February 26, 201214 yr Bought it. Does something weird to my DX install.Lemme try to describe it:1) run Installer, also when it asks to update the DX I tell it to do it2) "an internal system error occured"... blah blah refer to some files in Windows folder... they are not there btw.3) ran separate, from MS downloaded DXWebSetup.exe, which also gave an error4) uninstalled AV, removed my GPU driver5) downloaded and installed DX setup redistributable, installed OK6) ran DXWebSetup.exe, ran OK, said newer or same version found...7) re-ran Accu-Feel setup, came up to the DX setup, ran it again... now again same error as before8) even now running dxwebsetup gives an errorThis points to A2A setup of DX to have something.Would you be so kind and check?
February 26, 201214 yr Word Not Allowed,Probably not much help but when I installed Accu Feel the direct x setup portion simply stated that DX was upto date and no files needed to be installed. The rest of the installation then proceeded without a hitch. Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
