Just you wait to see what I'm building for FSX, and Flight once the SDK is out.Hint: It looks like this.vV794.jpg?1That's the one I made for FS2004, at long last I am upgrading it to FSX & Flight (one the SDK goes public)Incidentally, this would be a great plane for Flight missions - seats 5, has transcontinental range, FL21 cruise @250kts IAS
What SDK for FLIGHT?There isn't going to be one......

That's a total lie. They never said that there will never be an SDK. They said that FOR NOW, FLIGHT will not have an SDK.

Calling people liars is not considered good forum citizenship.......There are other ways to say things, and they don't take much thought; just basic courtesy.By the way, the plane is released.
We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Yes and no. Yes, there will eventually maybe be an SDK for approved, partnered third party developers. But for anyone to download, no way. Why would MS give an SDK to the average Joe to make addons for a free simulator?

You know, it occurs to me that it might not even be "safe" to download the free "preview" for the Zero. What do you want to bet some marketing droid will go into a meeting in a couple of weeks and hold up a chart showing total number of "Zero downloads" rather than "Zero sales" and use that to create a false sense of how much actual interest there is in RC toy planes.

Sure aerofly would like to know

It's great talking here, but make sure you make your daily FB post to their page, "No Cockpit, no buy". Gotta go now, doing mine now...

I dunno - if they release their DLC as they finish, it makes sense that a non-VC plane would come before a VC plane or scenery. Maybe there are three teams - one does external planes, one does cockpits, and one does scenery and they just release each as it's finished. If that is the case, then it follows that we'll get a quicker flow of non-VC stuff. . .

Of course, the True Hard-Core Maxtreme Simmers ™ only ever fly between Schipol & Frankfurt in cargo B737s, at night, in cloud, so I guess all you ever need is the cockpit and an autopilot on/off switch. :Big Grin:
Mods,an exhibit of how and why Flight "fans" bait and troll equally in this forum - thus causing a caustic atmosphere. And we get nary a word. The call for civility seems like a contra-flow lane at best. The zero looks like it will appeal to those who liked the P-51, so it is nice that these folks are getting content.Enjoy.

What you have is a vague and hazy promise of including other developers at some indeterminate point in the uncertain future of the product. It seems a bit strong that you authoritatively refute his assertion as a lie. It is no more or less grounded in truth than your rebuttal position.

You will be waiting a long time for an SDK. At least 1 year if not 2. That is if Flight makes it that far.

Here's a little good news --When MS releases a cockpitless plane, we stop complaining about lack of TrackIR support. This is similar to the technique of stubbing your toe in order to cure your headache.Well played, MS... well played.

That trackir comment cracked me up! Ha, you don't need trackir if you don't frakking have a vc!! Arrghh..
So true, so true....Anyway we need TrackIR support ( I don't even own the thing, but I want it)

If MS had released some kind of historical sim with the A6M in it, as they have done in the past, I would have no problem with it at all. Historical sims are challenging and educational, and this gives them a good deal of merit. Even creating an historic version of the Hawaii terrain in Flight where one could fly the A6M would have made it okay in my book. But the fact that there is a depiction of stunt course over the Arizona Memorial (which itself is bad enough for its complete lack of respect) that can now be flown in an aeroplane which is in either large or small part for having been the fighter escort in the attack, responsible for the deaths of many aboard that ship and others moored at Pearl Harbor on that terrible day, is nothing short of disgraceful in my opinion. Whoever was on the MS marketing/design team that thought this was acceptable should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. It's not the plane, it is the ability to whizz it over the Arizona Memorial with no respect whatsoever which makes it appallingly distasteful. Flight was supposed to be celebrating the joy of aviation, not making light of one of its darkest moments.Al
Very well put ! +1
