Ryan, tonight, I accidentaly leaned on my yoke and broke the whatchamacallit in the autopilot. Left side INOP so I went along on CMD B. Now on landing I did all as I used to do every time, but for some reason only IAN would work, not the actual ILS modes... I believe some of the guys would have an idea what did happen. I only realised at about 200agl.Now the QW 757 might be pretty, but if I can not break it even by intentionaly doing stuff wrong... not exactly what I am looking for.

You guys should check out the QW 757 - I know it's not the deep-dive systems sim we do here, but it's pretty good for what it is. They have a great model and sounds and the basics are functional as far as the systems and FMC stuff. I prefer it to the CS one when I want to fly a 757.If LDS ever releases theirs then you'll have a systems sim one. As it stands right now though they're friends of ours and we're not going to do one. If they indicate they're no longer doing it then we'd definitely consider it - it's the favorite airliner of several of us here, myself included.
There is still a glimmer of hope :(

Do we actually have any indications that the LDS757 is being worked on, other that nobody said it was dead yet?I do not like it, but I feel I have to consider the project dead, which is a shame...

thanks for the input Ryan, I had wondered about the QW 757, I have the CS 757 and I was hesitant to buy another one. One of my biggest pevs about the other developers, and you guys have managed to overcome this, is the issue when starting the engines, there is always this big surge. All of the other developers have not been able to overcome this for some reason.

Ryan, any chance you could indicate which companies PMDG has a non-compete agreement with? To be honest, it's silly. You guys are better than LDS.

i fly on delta 757s all the time and i have grown fond of them and it would be great to see a really good one from PMDG but we probably won't for a long time. I would rather see the MD-11 re-done first because that is all i fly and its a really awesome plane.

Ryan, just out of curiosity (and I'm not asking you to bash another developer), what do you like better about the QW 757 over the CS 757? What differences are there between the two?

I would love to see PMDG make both of these planes - for X-plane 10. I am a FSX user, but after seeing the 3d world X-plane 10 has to offer, I can't stop flying the demo! I would love to fly 75s and 76s in X-plane 10, and I personally don't think LDS will be converting their 767 to X-plane or their 757 (If it ever comes out!). I understand that PMDG is loyal to LDS, and I have absolutely no problem with that. But- I don't think LDS will be creating 75s or 76s for X-Plane 10, so I think PMDG should make both- for X-Plane 10. Also, I'd love to see the 767-400 also be developed by PMDG for both FSX and X-plane 10. (Can't be too hard, they're making the 777!) I don't think the 757 is too old. Many airlines are still using them today, and some 757s are also being retrofitted with glass cockpits as well. All in all, my opinion is yes! PMDG should make both, I'm sure they'd look and fly great. ThanksAra Maser

I agree, there are no friends in business :) their 767 was great at the time, but its to dated, they also made the announcement of the 757 back before fsx was released, gimmie a break its 2012, this bird is going to be dated before its released, PMDG has more staff and a relationship with Boeing who better to do a 757 or 767, anyways I hope lds does not make any other announcements of future projects, if a no compete deal is true.

I believe that for CMD-B to switch to APP mode, the NAV2 radio must be tuned to the ILS. I may be wrong, but I noticed this as well when I used CMD-B for a flight once and didn't tune both NAVs to the ILS.

We want to PMDG make every single aircraft in this world :)
Actually, I do. Truthfully, NOTHING even compares... NOTHING. They really have the market that I am, front and center, representative of, cornered. If anything, the most recent videos of the Aerosoft event in Munich convince me that PMDG can, and should, just soak up all the high-level talent in the flight SIMULATOR add-on market and just expand the team out.LevelD will always be worthy of our respect, but that route is essentially dead. PMDG, on the other hand, are on fire.

Why not take the lds project over and bring them aboard?

Level-D haven't made any comment on their 757 since August 2010.
