I agree, Bring Level D on board, thats the only way we will ever see an LDS 757. You will make a killing.

+1. I definitely think PMDG and LDS pooling resources would make for an AMAZING 757. That airplane is amazing. Quite underrated, I think. It is an absolute rocket.

We're getting a 777 and 747-4/8F......................................Not sure what else we need :(

We don't have formal "non-compete agreements" with anyone - it's just common courtesy between developers who are friends. Would you expect LDS to announce a 747 or 777 right now after us?
Frankly, I wouldn't expect LDS to do anything. I'd understand your position if they were actually developing anything, at this point they seem much more like an IP holding company than a software developer.
Would you expect LDS to announce a 747 or 777 right now after us?
No, and I tell you why - simply because after your planes are ready and published the other developers will lose the market share of the particular aircraft no matter what they do. Example - the 737NG backed with the FS2Crew has risen the bar so high, I don't think the customers are looking in different directions anymore. I expect the same to happen with other airplanes as well. 757 and 767 of course have their representations already, but are far away from the "PMDG" quality we are used to and looking forward to have. Just my 1 cent.

I would love to see PMDG due the 757 & 767. From what I understand, the 757 and the 767-200/300 share almost the same cockpit, so that would be a somewhat quicker jump in production, and the 767-400 and the 777 share similar cockpits. I really use to enjoy the LDS 767 until the NGX came out. Robert had ruined all other aircraft for me :(. As another poster said, the QualityWings 757 package is very good. The only problem with the QW 757 is that it is a very lite functioning aircraft. Just way to many basic functions that do not work, and the graphics remind me to much of Captain Sim ( I dont like there style).Either way, I would love to see PMDG complete the modern Boeing product line... I wouldn't be surprised if the next aircraft after the 777 & 747V2 is the 787. :(

I have been thinking the same. Actually, I am a bit suprised it hasn't been mentioned as a wish before in the thread. I would rather have a 787 than both 757 and 767. But I guess nostalgia is involved here also... :)Andy

Having both these aircraft at PMDG's standards would be superb!

You guys should check out the QW 757 - I know it's not the deep-dive systems sim we do here, but it's pretty good for what it is. They have a great model and sounds and the basics are functional as far as the systems and FMC stuff. I prefer it to the CS one when I want to fly a 757.If LDS ever releases theirs then you'll have a systems sim one. As it stands right now though they're friends of ours and we're not going to do one. If they indicate they're no longer doing it then we'd definitely consider it - it's the favorite airliner of several of us here, myself included.
QW pay a lot of respect to you guys at precision manuals as well, nice to see!

Come on, of course we want PMDG to make every airplane on this planet within the next two months...There are four new amazing airplanes announced and coming, why can't we just leave it at that? It's a bit anoying to see that every second topic is about what somebody would like to have... Just my two cents.

Right! If LDs announced a 747 and a 777 right now, it would be obvious that they willbe trying to steal market share and seize a lot of competition. However, the LDS 757 was announced in 2008, almost four years ago, and all we've seen is a screenshot of a 2D panel. Making a PMDG 757 and 767 wouldn't compete with LDS' market on such products, because they don't exist, and if something has taken an olympiad to develop, with only one hint two years ago as to its process, I'd say that making a 757/767 would be a great idea, and bring something to market that doesn't exist: A modern, fully simulated Boeing 757/767. Most have given up on LDS making any new products...

Level-D is fully able and actually producing a 757... Maybe a future 767?So why this? I don't understand. We have more than we ever dreamed of! 737NG, 777, 747 from PMDG and Airbus family coming from flightsim Labs, although starting with the A320 they will do all of them right up to the A380.And as mentioned, we have a 757 in the pipes from Level-D... Why not just sit back and enjoy the ride?

The LDS 757 may be further along than you realise and the reason PMDG haven't made one yet is they are in contact with LDS as they are friends and are aware of how far into development the 757 is. LDS and PMDG are good mates in this community and the last thing anybody who is into simming wants is two of the greatest developers falling out just so we can fly the 757 a few months or a year sooner. Although I would love a PMDG 757 don't get me wrong :biggrin:Rich

In fact, the 757 and 767 are two beautiful and very papular airliners. But I don't think PMDG is gonna consider making a 757 or 767.Well, maybe a 787 in the future...I personally wouldn't want a 757/767 from PMDG, there are still many much more interesting airliners that that both. For instance an ERJ190/195 or maybe even a SSJ100, but I doubt they would get acces to one.

With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.
