April 13, 201214 yr Where else would one go to debate the issue? What debate is there to be had, exactly? Whether or not the 757 will ever be released? I don't think an Avsim debate really has much impact on that. The community doesn't vote on whether a developer 'gets' to release a plane. LDS is a group of part time guys who are building a plane, and they've told us a little bit about it. The pace at which they do it, is nobody's business but their own. Everybody gets excited about the prospect of the 757, because we loved their 767, and so wanting to hear more is completely understandable. The reality of it is, until we start paying LDS for the 757, they don't 'owe' us anything. As far as 'who are they going to sell to?', everybody here knows that we're going to buy the plane. Regardless of that, it's a marketing decision up to them. I think I'm going to pick out a random forum user and decide he owes me something, and constantly start threads about why he isn't giving me more information about the project he owes me. I promise that when he's finished, I'll pay him
April 13, 201214 yr I have valid retorts for you both but I am going to leave now, TTFN. 'Tis not a good day to risk a ban.
April 13, 201214 yr Oh? And to whom are they going to sell? They're going to sell to all of us. And we're all going to be so eager to buy it it'll be ridiculous. Based on what I've read on these and other flight sim forums, I think that all of the discontent and impatience that results from a lack of updates is instantly reversed when a developer releases either an update, or the product itself. As soon as Daryl announces the 757's release--be it tomorrow, or in four (or 40) more years--everyone will line up with their credit cards to buy it. Like I've said, I don't imagine anyone boycotting Level-D because they've had to wait so long for the plane. LDS is a group of part time guys who are building a plane, and they've told us a little bit about it. The pace at which they do it, is nobody's business but their own. This is very much worth repeating. It's a part-time venture for them--which means they have lives outside of developing FS planes. I have valid retorts for you both but I am going to leave now, TTFN. 'Tis not a good day to risk a ban. If they're valid retorts, why not share them? If they're valid, you most certainly won't be banned for them.
April 13, 201214 yr Commercial Member Helo_Head: Discuss the 757. No problem. I was referencing users who reply to SUPPORT POSTS rather than send the posters to the OFFICIAL SUPPORT FORUM, not general posts by users who post here asking general questions. April 14, 201214 yr Just so you know, Level-D is working on a 777 and a 747 and a 737 and a A320. That's why the 757 is so late. Hello guys .It's matter of time to have a 757 from LDS.Everytime i am watching this foroum i see people critisizing LDS for their 757.Just be patient. As DShutt mentioned above they are also working on other projects apart from 757.I only understood it from this comment.Forgive me if i am wrong .Thats why the 757 is slown down. April 14, 201214 yr he was joking when he made that post, theyre really not working on a "777 and a 747 and a 737 and a A320." He was being sarcastic.
April 14, 201214 yr Commercial Member Nope. Dead serious. Doing a Concorde, an A380, and a L1011 and a Dash 8 (100 to 400) and a 707 and a A300. ;-) The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
April 15, 201214 yr Yup, that's what I heard, too! I am also demanding updates on every one of these aircraft twice a day. I bought the LDS 767 a couple of years ago; therefore, it's my right to receive constant, accurate updates, and it's your responsibility to comply. Otherwise I'll protest and whine and complain here and everywhere else I can on the Internet. I'll also need your personal phone number, Daryl, so I can call whenever I feel like asking you more specific questions on these projects. And when do you expect to release all these planes? I demand to know immediately. Actually, you should have told us that weeks ago. Wow. How disrespectful of you. :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO:
April 15, 201214 yr Yes I woul like your phone number too. And your house address so I can come over there and personally talk to you about all these addons. :)
April 15, 201214 yr They were gonna do a Woodpigeon but since PMDG is rumored to be making one he decided not to out of respect for each other. Richie Walsh
April 15, 201214 yr As others have noted, that was a joke to lighten the mood, they aren't working on a 747, or a 737, or an A320. Actually I suspect they probably aren't working on a 757 either at the moment, but there you go. If they get it done and it is good, we'll all buy it, if they are too busy with other life commitments and it never shows up, then so be it.
