An Easter Present from Flight Ontario

First of all let me congratulate you on one fantastic scenery! I've lived in the GTA all my life so I've been longing for this scenery since it was announced. I can even pick out my street! I just have a couple of problems, the textures for the Burlington Skyway and bridges over the Welland canal are missing, the bridges aren't there.Dave FisherCYYZP4 2.8 GB 478P 533 MHZ CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard512 DDRGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 80 Gig ATA 133 HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

looks great guys love the package works great i am getting fps in the 60's with the fix thinking of finding a empty hanger at downsview and setting up my virtual paint shop thereone of the hangers at city center looks untextured is this a bug or supposed to be that waygreat work again guys look forward to thunder bay update :)shane

I downloaded the scenery but didn't install it yet, before I do install it I would like to know if this scenery includes the Ambassador Bridge? I have a freeware file of that bridge installed already, so if this scenery includes it I will want to delete the one I have first.

just a test :)

Awsome scenery, especially for those of us that live in Toronto. After reading the above posts I will be trying the water fix. Flight sim started me off in mid winter as well....for the record there are no leaves yet and the grass is brown but there is certainly no snow on the ground. The scenery is great for VFR navigation. I started at Pearson flew past downtown then up the 404 to Buttonville. Landed and checked out the airport before flying across the 407 and over my house.Hamilton looks good as well, although for some reason the steel plants and the skyway bridge did not show for me. Niagara was also looking good.thanks for all of the work you guys put into this program and a big thanks for making it available as freeware.Mark.

>Hamilton looks good as well, although for some reason the steel >plants and the skyway bridge did not show for me.Move up your scenery complexity slider to extremely dense. If you don't have smoke effects showing, turn up the effects slider to full.http://www.asic.ca/flightontario/jimlogo.gif

Umm, I kind of feel this scenery does not live up to my expectations, first off I went to the Pepsi machine at City Centre to get a drink before my flight and you guys forgot to fill the pop machine! I could not get anything out of that machine no matter how much money I put in it or how many times I banged on it. :-) Also I may be dense but I went to a concert near City Centre but I could not figure out who the band was, can you clue me in? This is a great piece of work, I have only been able to spend a few minutes with it so far but I love what I see! Great work, as always! Thanks, Philip Olsonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

I've tried all the above mentioned fixes. I even eliminated some other, possibly competing bgls and terrain mesh sceneries. But, the problem, in trying to fly into Ontario by way of Niagara Falls is a total CDT. Anyone else tried to fly in from Northern NY State?Sherm

I, like many others had initial problems with this scenery.Removing the texture folder under the landclass folder, removing the two water bgl's and the Convair has indeed gotten things to work quite well. Thanks Jim, for the quick feedback! As a matter of fact, in places, it looks outright spectacular!Just a tip: make sure you have your effects setting and scenery complexity setting at maximum or you are going to miss out!It took me a while to get the steam to show up at the Falls, but the effects settings made the difference! Just to nitpick... To the authors: is there a way to get the steam settings higher at the Horseshoe Falls? They look a bit whimpy, compared to the American Falls, see picture..BTW.. watching the Maid of the Mist bob through the waves is pretty neat! Easter Egg for sure!

this is the correct behaviourfor the pepsi machine

>Ambassador Bridge, no>>Can you email it to me?>>http://www.asic.ca/flightontario/jimlogo.gifThe Ambassador bridge scenery I have can be found right here in the library. The file name is amb_bridge.zip. The file for a fix to the bridge is amb_bridge_excl_fix.zip.

I'm afaid we can't take credit for The Maid of the Mist, the Falls and mist, and the Skylon tower. They belong to FS2004.However, the hydro plants, Lewiston bridge and Minolta tower are ours.Have fun flying the new landclass ground tiles of Southern and Central Ontario.Take a boo at our latest gallery if you would.http://www.asic.ca/flightontario/ontarioga...omair/index.htmBTW, I can't stand reflective water MHO. Want to boost frame rates, turn it off.http://www.asic.ca/flightontario/jimlogo.gif
