April 15, 201214 yr Hi bert, I see you have a Waypoint-name DSD in your EHSI, so I think this is because of the upcoming GNS servicepack we could expect from RXP soon? I ask because I can only get the distances displayed but not the names of the WPTs! ;-) BTW, I did sucessfully integrate the RXP Wx500 into the Avidyne , saving a lot of FPS for me as the Avidyne is the frame-killer in my setup! Best regards,
April 15, 201214 yr BTW, I did sucessfully integrate the RXP Wx500 into the Avidyne , saving a lot of FPS for me as the Avidyne is the frame-killer in my setup! Fantastic! Would you post how this is done? I really would like to integrate the RXP Wx500 into the Avidyne. So thankful for the talent this forum has and the willingness to share Russ
April 16, 201214 yr I am not a big fan of the Avidyne. The map is jerky and I really haven't been using it. So, using Bert's 430 integration as a starting point, I replace the Avidyne with the RXP GNS530. Obviously it still has the Avidyne frame but it is nice to be able to look down and see my route in the panel. I just use the pop-up to make changes and entries and use the radios to change frequencies. Here are the changes I made to the panel.cfg file: For the pop-up (I like it big) [Window01] Background_color=8,8,8 size_mm=375,276 visible=0 ident=10010 //window_size= 0.312, 0.230 window_pos= 0.635, 0.630 no_luminous=1 zorder=2 gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS530,0,0,375,276 //gauge00=GPS_400_C90!GNS400_nc, 0,0,528,310 //gauge01=C90KA!ToggleCAR430, 0,0,512,30 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit05] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=1024,1024 visible=0 pixel_size=1024,1024 texture=$Panel_5 //gauge00=EX500_C90!EX500_config, 0, 0, 1, 1 //gauge01=EX500_C90!EX500_3D, 0,512,513 , 411 //gauge02=C90KA!ToggleCARG500, 64,512,448,64 gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS530,-37, 532, 578,418 gauge03=EFISC90!EFIS_3D, 0, 0, 512,512 gauge04=GAUGEC90EFIS!Gauge_EFIS84_EHSI_3D, 512, 0, 512,512 gauge05=GPS_400_C90!GNS400_NC_3D, 517, 512, 496,258 gauge06=C90KA!ToggleCAR430, 530, 520, 400,20 gauge07=C90KA!ToggleEFIS, 32, 32, 448, 448 For all the complaints, I am really enjoying this plane. Thanks to Bert, Bliksimpie and the others for their tweaks! EddieKABQ
April 17, 201214 yr Author After the SP1 release, you can just run the Carenado supplied RXP430 exe file - but you should add an rxpgns.ini file to allow the popup to work and set some other options. Either copy it over from another airplane, or run the RXP WAAS app, or add it by hand (goes into the airplane folders - one for the full VC+cabin and one for the LIte version!) Here is the text [GNS430] Popup=10010 AutoPilotMode=2 Radios=1 LinkCdiKey=On AutoApproach=Off LinkVor=0 AutoCourse=On LcdStyle=Off AutoWidth=600 AutoHeight=252 Trainer= NoKeyClick=Off GndSpdFromDeltaLatLon=Off Brightness=-1.0000 LinkGPS=On Bert

I saw two applications that SP1 installed -- it appears that one is the setup for the RXP430 and the other might be a RESTORE application for the Carenado 400 if you want to "retro" back to it??? Have I got this right ?? Also, the file code you show above --- what kind of a file does that go in for the airplane files? Do you put it in a text file and what would it be called? Or is it better to just run RXP's WAAS setup application? Your help appreciated. Thanks --- Bob --- :Nerd: Bob Magill
April 18, 201214 yr Author Although I have not tried it, I assume you can revert back to the Carenado GPS400.. but why would you want to? The RXP ini file is a text file, called rxpgns.ini Yes, by all means, run the RXP WAAS app - but check the contents after... You do want Autocourse=On and LinkVOR=Off for this airplane. Bert

OK, Bert --- Thanks! Now, I have the unit installed, but I have no idea where to find the RXP WAAS app ???? I have searched but can find nothing. EDIT: I went ahead and made a rxpgns.ini file which only contains the code you posted above. I put the file in the C90 airplane folder and it appears to be working fine, since the popup is working and the 430 is very responsive. I am also getting the RXP cursors (curved arrow and pink hand)... But I would like to know WHERE to find RXP WAAS file so I can run it -- because it sounds like that MUST be done for a proper install. Hints please!! Bob :Big Grin: Bob Magill
April 18, 201214 yr Author First of all, you do not need it... However, you can find it in the Programs list START/Programs/RealityXP/GNSWAAS etc Bert

However, you can find it in the Programs list START/Programs/RealityXP/GNSWAAS etc Thanks again Bert --- I will assume then that I have done the install correctly :Big Grin: --- now off to read the manuals and see if I did it right and all is working. Appreciate your patient and kind help ---- Regards, Bob Bob Magill
