New Aircraft Teaser!

Here are those ports on the underside of the F/A-18 - don't really look like the sneak-peak. On an F-18, these are flush to the skin.

You know, the more I look at it, the more I think it might be a chopper up by the cabin roof near the engine cowling. Many choppers have really prominent rivets and stuck out bits much like that picture, there are some vents on the HH-60 SeaHawk which look a bit like that too, and that is a sea grey camo colour. Part of the curve toward the rear of the pic looks like it might be proud of the surface, like an intake vent of the kind you get up on the top of the cowling on choppers such as the UH-1B and C variants, and that would fit with it being faired into the flat roof of a chopper's cabin. That could be well off the mark, but it might get someone looking in the right place.

Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

I thought it might be from a helicopter as well, but it doesn't seem streamlined enough, to square, but what if and a big MAYBE ??... It's from inside the cockpit of whatever aircraft it is, could be a cooling vent of some sort, Wishful thinking on my behalf. I just want a cockpit. I looked over all my FSX aircraft with a fine tooth comb, nothing similar at all, I might look through all my cockpits now ?? This is not just a Flight sim/game it's a puzzle game as well, and it's keeping the old brain ticking over at the moment, and I haven't even flown today.

Thanks StratoArt! Great pics, I can see the rectangular strip near the engines that had my hopes up. :LMAO:

Wingman Tingly suggested it might be a Beachcraft 18. Hoping he's right, but I can't find that piece on it anywhere in any of the photos I've looked at!

You know, the more I look at it, the more I think it might be a chopper

I was thinking it might be a chopper as well, but then reading the post on the Flight Facebook page, it says "Here's a teaser for our next plane! Can you guess what it is?". Since they specifically say plane, instead of aircraft, I'm guessing it's not a helicopter yet :(

Could it be a Beechcraft 18 ???

Selling saved games.... That's umm.. Great...

sorry for being OT, too, but this sound like scam to me. showing a design glitch as attraction? selling saved situations? wonder how that will end up. won't buy that.

re: OP, no idea which a/c that could be, just know it is time now for a plane with cockpit again. and hopefully a twin engine and no fighter jet as mentioned above

oh no, Please not another taildragger or vintage plane..... Anything but not this !!!

It has a green airframe under that vent/ejection/??? cover..Think it's a WWII or slightly later multi-seat passenger plane..Electra/PV-2? Or even a B-17

jake

Yes, I know a B-17 isn't srictly a passenger plane

For me it looks like an exhaust maybe jet or at least turboprop. But definately vintage.

Well dropping it into Google Images didn't work! :Straight Face:

something is nagging at my brain..My recall is dreadful these days, but I think we've seen this before in an FSX plane..I recognise it from somewhere, I'm sure (from the man that said the Zero was PBY...)

Well, the UH-60 has an opening behind the gearbox/engines that looks kind of like that... Not an exact match, though.
