You may need a seaplane or helicopter for certain aerocaches
I believe it used to show that as a loading screen tip even before Alaska came out. I also think that most people here think/hope it's a sign of things to come and not just a mistake, but I guess only time will tell.

Something wrong with forum display
It was fixed, then broken, then fixed, then broken again, but now appears to be fixed. Hopefully it'll stay that way.

Plane cockpit tease..
Well, the Icon's turn coordinator was on the moving map screen, so if it's using the same moving map as the Icon, that's probably where it will be.

Topic layout broke down?
Yes, text is also starting on the right for me. I'm glad it's not just me though, I tried a lot to fix it before looking in here.

Is there a payload bug?
You can't see what the weight of your plane with the cargo is on the fuel screen before starting the mission, but once the mission loads and you press F to bring up the fuel window, then you can see the total weight including cargo. Since some airports you can't add more fuel, but you can remove fuel at any, it's best to load up with a bit extra before starting and then remove some before takeoff if need be.

SLI = Double Framerate but stutters , solution ?
Well I run with SLI on my PC (2 x GTX 260) and I've tested Flight and it definitely does make a difference. I used to occasionally get some stutters, especially when there are lots of trees loaded on the screen, but they seem to have mostly gone away. I also run with VSYNC on, which has actually made the graphics a lot smoother for me. I did notice that you mentioned it is choppy when panning, in which case it might have to do with the repeat settings. If you check the standard.xml file, which contains your controller settings (found in "C:\Users\"YOU"\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight\Players\"SOME NUMBER"\Career\Controls"), consider changing the repeat rate for the PAN_VIEW section of your controller (the section might be in the file a few times if you have multiple controllers) to match this: <Down> <EventName>PAN_VIEW</EventName> <EventUnits>meter</EventUnits> <Repeat>1.000000</Repeat> </Down>

The boring old (and re-started) trim thread
I believe in the previous trim thread, the result that a lot of people (including myself) did was set the repeat settings to 240. This setting allows pressing the button once to adjust the trim by 1%, and holding the button will continuously adjust it. So if you find it's still not how you like it, consider changing it to 240, as shown below: <Entry> <Index>2</Index> <Down> <EventName>FlightControls.PitchTrimDownIncrement</EventName> <Repeat>240.000000</Repeat> </Down> </Entry> <Entry> <Index>3</Index> <Down> <EventName>FlightControls.PitchTrimUpIncrement</EventName> <Repeat>240.000000</Repeat> </Down> </Entry> And if you are having the issue where panning with the hat switch is slow and choppy (which happened to me when my controls got reset), consider changing the repeat rate for the PAN_VIEW section of your controller to match this: <Down> <EventName>PAN_VIEW</EventName> <EventUnits>meter</EventUnits> <Repeat>1.000000</Repeat> </Down>

Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant?
No, unfortunately it doesn't. I have it and while it works brilliantly in FSX, it doesn't work at all in flight, and as far as I can tell there is no way around it (i.e there is no software to use to map the switches to keystrokes). I also have the Cessna trim wheel and it doesn't work in Flight either, as there is no way to set a trim axis command, but I would love if they could make that work with Flight too. Those plus TrackIR support and I'm not sure I'll even need to open FSX anymore lol.

Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant?
Personally I just bought the Saitek throttle quadrant and I'm very happy with it so far. My main reason for buying was so I could have the throttle on the right, as previously I was using the throttle from my X52, which is designed to go on the left, with my yoke, so this is a nice change. I also looked into the TPM module, but after reading some reviews on how the switches work, I passed on it. Basically, the switches only send a command when they move to the on position, so if say you mapped a switch to landing gear, you would flick the switch from off to on to raise the gear, but then to lower you have to switch it back to off and then on again. So anytime you switch something on then off, it has to go from off to on to off and back to on, which turns it off. Seems kind of confusing and the switches on the quadrant work way better for that kind of thing.

New Flight blog article / One more warbird to come?
So I was just checking out the Flight website, and I noticed there was a new blog post today, titled "Warbirds in Hawaii" (https://news.microso...-in-hawaii.aspx). Here is the very first line: By them saying the P-40 is the penultimate release (I had to Google definition of penultimate to be sure: http://www.thefreedi...com/penultimate) it means it is the 2nd to last, which tells me there is one more planned. Either way, it's an interesting article and they kind of link together all the warbirds they've released so far. Here's to hoping after these we get some more planes with VCs.

What Joy Stick do people use?
I tend to play with my Saitek X52 Control System (http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/x52.html) but also sometimes supplement it with CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB LE (http://www.chproduct...-v13-d-705.html not the same as in the link, apparently they no longer sell it) when I am flying the Maule. I still use the throttle of the X52 when I use the yoke, but keep my hands off the joystick. Edit: Oh yeah, I almost forgot rudder pedals. Though the joystick has a twist shaft which can be used for rudders, the yoke does not. I'm using the CH Products Pro Pedals (http://www.chproducts.com/Pro-Pedals-v13-d-716.html) and they give a big upgrade in realism compared to twisting a joystick.

DLC sales ranking from LIVE and STEAM
Well, if the Maule and P-51 are selling the same number of units, with the Maule selling for almost 3x the cost, it sounds like there could be more profit to be made with a full VC plane. Hopefully MS sees that too.

One More Attempt To Get Support
Dewey, if you haven't done so, I would check on this thread on the Steam forums for Flight: http://forums.steamp....php?t=2643707 It explains where to find and redeem your codes for DLC. Also, I believe Microsoft does have people regularly on the Steam forums so you could also try posting your issues there if the thread I linked doesn't answer your questions.

Flying Wild Alaska
Funny thing about Ariel. I just saw Flying Wild Alaska for the first time last week, and when I saw her I thought for sure I recognized her from a particularly memorable episode of the TV show "Wipeout". So I looked it up on YouTube, and sure enough it was her. Check out this link for the video: I'm not sure I would want her flying a plane with me being the passenger lol.

Those of you old enough to remember
Yes! That was my first flight simulator for the family Amiga 500 we had. I still remember the first time I successfully landed in that game. Brings bad good memories.

New Aircraft Teaser!
I was thinking it might be a chopper as well, but then reading the post on the Flight Facebook page, it says "Here's a teaser for our next plane! Can you guess what it is?". Since they specifically say plane, instead of aircraft, I'm guessing it's not a helicopter yet :(

Icon slip indicator
So up until now I figured that the Icon had no slip indicator (the ball you "step on" to co-ordinate a turn), but as I was flying today, I happened to turn on the moving map (which always seems to default to off for whatever reason) and realized that at the bottom of the map, there it was. Seems like kind of a weird place for it to be, but it's cool to know it's there if you like to practice co-ordinated turns. Anyway, since I just realized it, and I have over 30+ hours in the relase version, plus some hours in the beta, I figured surely some others must have missed it as well and might be interested in knowing. Six Days Seven Nights
I'm pretty sure the guy actually says that it was a set for a TV series that is off the air, and I am pretty sure it is referring to "Lost" as that was shot right near Dillingham airport, from what I've read. If you've seen the show, I believe that is the area where the people already living on the island were staying.

CTD corrupted user profile - I'm back to the beginning.
I lost my profile, or part of it at least. All the challenges and missions were reset, as well as the flight time I had for each plane, but all of my other stats, such as passengers, cargo, total flight time, # of landings, level and XP were saved. It happened right before the latest patch came out. The nice thing was I was able to do all of the missions again and get full XP for them, which helped me get to lvl 20 faster :)

Choosing a GA prop
I'd just like to throw in a suggestion for Aerosoft's Bush Hawk XP. It's a high wing STOL bush plane without glass gauges. It has nice big windows for seeing out of as well. Definitely worth taking a look at: http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?showd,,D10847
