New Aircraft Teaser!

If you enlarged that F/A-18 picture in a magical 'CSI super magnifying stylee' TM, you'd see that dark area under both the engine nacelles is a flat panel.

I think it a German Messersmitt 109.wwii_german_me_109_in_flight_poster-r82e2b6eaf6ee4f2aacee050415c2245d_aiz3k_400.jpgIf I look closely it looks like it been using screws and it looks like there two pieces at the middle top of the wing.

I found this on the Flight blog comment

yeah I showed this on page 2 of this thread here: http://forum.avsim.n...er/page__st__25

It's not the F/A-18. Also there is chromate green showing and unpanted aluminum which mean it is most likely vintage from the 1940's-1960's at most.

I now think it a German Messersmitt 109.

I really hope it's not a warbird... Not that I dislike them, but there are plenty of sims giving lots of warbirds flying options.

Particularly not ME 109... Even if Cliff of Dovers is broken in many regards, the experience it offers flying the ME 109 with complex engine management would be hard to compete with...

Instead, I do hope that these parts come from a civilian, bush flying plane (vintage ones are most welcome too), or an helicopter. But only with a VC anyway. I'd really like to have some nice options (or at least one great plane please) to try Flight in depth when Alaska comes out (I'm not interested in Hawaii...).

(I'm not interested in Hawaii...).

Hawaii is a lot like the Aleutian islands, but warmer. :D

Seriously, the couple of times I flew to Hawaii in FSX the only thing I could think of was getting out of there. But I had to visit to get the high definition airport there. I wasn't really thrilled when Flight was set in Hawaii, but I'd been doing a lot of flying in the Caribbean and figured it couldn't have been too much different. I found the big island boring after a short time, but the rest of the islands are great.

Besides, you're more likely to see movies and TV shows set in Hawaii than in Alaska, so you'll get to recognize some scenery after flying over it a lot. That's a bit of a bonus.

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

The Hawaii box or download next week is only 'saved games' Nothing new for hardware. It is not from MS and is not endorsed. It will add a lot of new spots to start from and put you in position to earn some difficult points and badges.

Well if they'd said 'guess the helicopter', it would have sort of blown the gaff a bit.

They could have gone with 'guess the aircraft' though, or even 'guess the heavier-than-air flying machine'.

Hmm...I don't see it. It doesn't really make sense for MS to release an F-18 at this point.

Who would've thought it would be a VCless Zero being released as the next MSFlight dlc.... Didn't make much sense at all, did it... :Just Kidding:

In line of that it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this next thing actually turns out to be an F-18. Without a cockpit, surely....

They might've taken a glance at AeroflightFS.Comes with an F-18 too. Zooming down the Swiss valleys at full AB is actually quite a blast, most exiting feature of AFS. Atleast it sports a VC but you can't do anything with it but just sit there...

What if it's a zeppelin?

What if it's a zeppelin?

then it'll take about a week to cross Alaska
