Milviz CH-47 Chinook is out!

Wow.. I'm not into choppers at all but just wanted to say that the texturing alone on that is a work of art and simply brilliant..

ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD /  2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors

 I am not a fan of helicopters either, but looking at that fine body, makes me wana grap her, like right nowww !

I'm no chopper man, but I've clicked through those screens and the detail looks great.

Wow - seriously tempted by that!

...having never used any add-on choppers in FSX before though, I am wary of the flight model...

Anyone got any opinions on payware FSX helis and how they fly?

Cheers!

Actually I'm not sure about the textures at all, they look a bit overworked. It looks more like a heli from Call of Duty than FSX.

There are too many examples to count of Chinooks that look exactly like that.. The Chinook in real life is completely over worked and a lot of them show it.

Well, the DodoSim JetRanger is astonishingly good and if they ever get their Huey fiinished, it will be a great day for sim chopper fans. The Cera Twin Huey is also very worthy, so good choppers in FSX can certainly be done, but it evidently takes quite a bit of skill to do that kind of thing, since most choppers for FSX aren't as good as those.

Still, I understand MILVIZ did the Nemeth Huey, and that's not bad, one of the better payware choppers in most respects. Some of the other Nemeth ones are good fun, for example their little Hughes Defender is very nice to fly, not hugely challenging, but fun all the same. Most of the other ones are good lookalikes but not necessarily good flyalikes, but that said, there are plenty of tweakers at Hovercontrol that can improve things, so most choppers that need a tweak end up getting one..

It is tempting, but I'd like to hear a review of how it flies.

Granted, it does look like your first example. They fly directly over my office several times a day - if they looked anything like that though I'd be concerned bits would fall off!

So is this one made by Milviz for Nemeth or by Nemeth for Milviz? Seems odd to be selling them separately as the Milviz Chinook and the Nemeth Chinook with neither of them mentioning each other. Are there any slight differences I wonder?

Thanks Chock - I think I will do the same before reaching for my wallet!

Might try the DodoSim JetRanger in the meantime if it is that good!

Cheers!

They are the same birds. We are in "bed" together but this time, we decided to sell off both of our sites. We did the modelling and painting and they did the code. We will be providing support for this product. I put up our site at 11pm last night after a hard day. I've now modifed it to include Nemeths!

This is, in fact, the reference bird we used. The paint kit will allow repainters to adjust the level of "dirt" to their liking.
