Other than the wingtips there is no really big differences in the 777 models. Could PMDG use the -200LR model and simply clip the the wingtips to use for the -200/er model? Cost saving instead of creating a model from scratch? Isn't the real difference between them in the fde?

No, not that simple. Still a few differences behind the scenes too. I highly doubt they model from the ground up again - the main fuselage's shape doesn't change along with the tail/stabiliser & the general wing. Of course the Wingtips aren't raked on the 200/ER and engine nacelles are different from the GE>RR>PW. I cannot think what to call these - but the B77W/LR/F have little black nicks on the outboard flaps too.

I really want 777-8X or 777-9X or 777-10X or all of them. And time machine to jump directly to the day of release...

Seriously speaking I don't want anything if that means postponed 777 release. I was waiting way tooooo long and ready pretty much for ANY version of 777.

They would never add the 200er/300er/300/200 into the base pack, they've already made that clear and they will get the base pack out, then work on other things, like, also the EFB MAYBE (don't quote me on that I have no idea what the current situation is)

PMDG already has the Flap Limit texture of the -200/ER and normal -300.

The Flap Limit on the -200/ER and normal -300:

   1   - XXXK
+ 5   - XXXK
   15 - XXXK
   20 - XXXK
   25 - XXXK
   30 - XXXK

and on the -200LR/LRF and -300ER: [without the cross at Flaps 5 (+) and they with space left at Flaps 1 and 5 ( they're now above the five of Flaps 15 and not anymore over the one of Flaps 15)]

  1 - XXXK
  5 - XXXK
15 - XXXK
20 - XXXK
25 - XXXK
30 - XXXK

Anyway. I want the -200/ER and -300 with RR and PW more than an Electronic Flight Bag.

Agreed.  My iPad is just fine as an FS EFB.  Much rather would have the -200ER.

I would love the 777-200ER. Mostly because it is British Airways most common variant of the B777.

Kind regards,

Luke Bischoff

anything with a 777 sticker on it is fine by me ;)

The 300ER is going to overtake it as the most common this year.

BA have many more 200ER's in service than the 300er ;). Unless they are going to get dozens of deliveries in the next few months

Have you guys decided yet where the 200er is going to come in the release schedule? Robert flirted with the idea with potentially including the 200er in the base package.

I would like the -200/ER because I'm one of those people that will only fly the aircraft if it is the one used in real life on that route. I can't simply fly a United 777 from Chicago to New York!

If an airline flies the -200/ER to somewhere but I only have the -200/LR and -200/F I won't do the flight, it doesn't give me the realism I crave. No short hauls unless they are done in real life for me!

Regards, Jeremy Chesney

I think Ryan meant common overall - not within British Airways. BA have two/three more coming in a few months which is exciting! Should see one rolling out of the hangar at KPAE soon for testing  ^_^

B77W is what I'll probably fly the most. No rush for the 200ER at all if I'm honest! 200LR for ULR's and many Freighter trips across the globe planned. God, never ever going to be out of ideas on places to fly with this beauty!

I think there are 14 more -200ER than -300ER, so yeah they are very close.

Though for the British Airways side of things, they have 46 -200ER and 6 -300ER.

3 more votes for yes, then we achieve 777  :P
