May 6, 201214 yr Moderator Autopilot, on the computer your runnng, I would seriously consider using FS9. You really need at the least 3.0 ghz to start to really use FSX without having your settings completely turned down. With the rig you've got you will probably get a lot more out of FS9. May 7, 201214 yr Author Hello, Guys! All the result that I've found from this forum is that 1- My these keys are messed up OR 2- My Graphic Memory is so low. My Total graphic Memory is 256MB. What do you think about this that can FSX run well on 256MB? I've Intel Q965 Chipset built-in and processor is 1.86GH Core to Duo and RAM is 2GB. So what do you think guys is it really my PC specification problem? If YES then which device is low? Processor RAM or Graphic Memory? and tell me how much it should be for FSX? Thanks and Regards for all,
May 7, 201214 yr Hello Sorry to say but you will never get FSX running well on that machine. You would have a much better experience with FS9, smooth performance and it will look much better than FSX on that rig.
May 7, 201214 yr Processor RAM or Graphic Memory? and tell me how much it should be for FSX? Here you are, ALL the info you'll ever need: http://forum.avsim.n...-guide-for-fsx/ What do you think about this that can FSX run well on 256MB? Never, ever in life.
May 7, 201214 yr Hi Srdan, well, at least nobody can point fingers at you that(a) you are 'shouting' at or{b} being unhelpful, this time. Nice one, buddy. Rick Almeida
May 7, 201214 yr Actually, that is a smiley of a pulling hair, :LMAO: . I especially searched for one on the net for this occasion! Tac change is required
May 7, 201214 yr Author Try clicking the "Advanced Animations" click box in screen number 1, and see if your jetways work then. Also, try setting your Global Texture resolution to Max to get your repaints to at least display correctly. Turn off Aircraft cast showdows on Ground and also the one that says Aircraft Cast Shadows on itself. Turning those off will help your performance. You might want to click the Anti-Alising box if your not going to use Inspector and see if that helps your jagged edges. Frankly, there is a lot of other stuff to do, but at least turn on your advanced animations to get your jetways work. This is the solution of my problem. Thanks man. Here you are, ALL the info you'll ever need: http://forum.avsim.n...-guide-for-fsx/ Never, ever in life. Again Sorry Word Not Allowed!
May 7, 201214 yr Again Sorry Word Not Allowed! Are you actually aware what you should be sorry about? I'm not trying to attack you, I'm trying to teach you.
May 7, 201214 yr Srdan, can we then say we have reached Q.E.D. now? E....rr..m, somehow I'll doubt it! Rick Almeida
May 7, 201214 yr Moderator This is the solution of my problem. Thanks man. Glad it worked for you Autopilot. BTW, like some of the others have mentioned, with the computer you have, taking a look at FS9 would be a bad idea. You'll most likely be able to get much performance out of FS9 than FSX will ever give you on the computer your using now. You could always get back to FSX in the future after you move to a more capable computer. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
May 8, 201214 yr Hey Guys, I have watched this tread for some time. A United Airlines pilot friend of mine gave me some advice on this subject long ago. First, taxi speed should be as fast as a man can walk. Second if you fly a T7, 767 or 747 loaded for a international flight your weight is so high that you MUST taxi at a low speed. My own rule of thumb with my LDS 767 is to taxi at 5-7mph. While working at DFW airport planes always taxied slow, the idea that you can taxi at 20-30mph is nonsense in the real world. If you notice high taxi speeds in FSX causes your aircraft to handle poorly while slow taxi speeds give excellent results. Bob
May 8, 201214 yr I think a good rule of thumb is to "be patient" when you are taxiing around an airport. We can't all be Ryanair pilots, so take it slow, and give yourself time and space to make turns.
