May 4, 201214 yr Yep - ease of immersion is great. Had a play with the 3d setting on my new gtx850 card earlier today - only got a pair of those red/cyan 'glasses' but the effect is cool (for a while anyway)... Later had a nice night hop in the Maule, back to Big Island (from Hana to Upolu) using the local VOR as an NDB - by the time I was in the Upolu circuit a few more lads in Icons were joining in. We all landed, to have a chat, then flew on another hop up to Waimea, where I talked one new Icon pilot through the process of setting the Icon's comm radio frequency and then having a voice chat using Ctrl + Tab on that frequency. All good fun...

I dont feel like this is appropriate right now, and can only lead to we all know what. Wow, well that was certainly not my intention and never entered my mind in any way. May 4, 201214 yr I would point out though, that while the point was repeatedly, ignored, overlooked, and otherwise bypassed, it was stressed repeatedly (and ultimately vainly) that it was never what was being said, but how it was being said that caused the issues. If I want to share some aspect that I particularly enjoyed about Flight with fellow enthusiasts then why would they complain? Don's comments were not even remotely inflamatory... And as for saying they were not a resource, not true. I used the 'photos' he shared to illustrate a point I had been making about the sim to a friend. I genuinely think you miscalled that one vBB.

The owner of the message board has stated that if I made a post like dburne's today, but instead changed it around to "reasons why I continue to dislike Flight", I would be banned. I could state it politely, not call anyone a child or tell anyone to pound sand (personally I find that hillarious, I'm not even sure what the heck pound sand means?), but because the simple fact that I'm on the wrong side of the gate, suddenly I'm the bad guy. FWIW, "pound sand" means "go away," as in "pound your feet on the ground."
