I love flying this plane! Thanks to Carenado for the two SPs, Kurt Kalbfleisch for the tutorial that taught me how, and IdealFlight for setting up some terrific flight scenarios. I'm having more fun than I have in a long while with this birdie.

Here's hoping you guys are too!

Absolutely! I can't stop flying this beauty! With a few little mods by the talented people here (heading / course selection on HSI and RXP 530&430 integration) and the outstanding flight dynamics by Mr. Stolle, it is a pure joy to fly! And it looks soooo good... ;-)

I'm with you on all of the above, Bill. It is definitely a fun airplane to fly!

My next task is to squeeze a few more knots out of 'er with a virtual Blackhawk -135a conversion (which is giving me a whole new respect for what Mr Stolle and other FDE guru's do!). Even with stock speeds though, I enjoy flying it a lot!

I enjoy this plane as well - very versatile and a much roomier cockpit than the Malibu!

How extensive of a job are you going to try to do? The Blackhawk and the C90GT have a different set of gauges that correspond to the -135.

I've got some pretty clear graphics of the Blackhawk gauges so, yes, eventually I'd love to at least to a little reconfiguring of the stock gauges (for my own use, of course). That said, my list of "FSX development" items is a mile long at this point so I'm guessing I'll settle for a few more knots for now and worry about the gauges later. :)

This definitely replaced the Malibu as my Jetdrop of choice.. I still like the Malibu for high long hauls but it just doesn't fair well for tooting around below 10k and something about the eyepoint makes it incredibly hard to land. It's strange, the C90 panel actually blocks more of your forward view than the Malibu but I don't feel `blind' on short final like I do in the Malibu.

The C90 hasn't replaced the Malibu for me, but it certainly does fill in a nice niche. It shines at those moderate distance teens altitude hops where neither my Malibu nor Turbine Duke really fit.

In the real world, I'd have to compromise - here I get to pick the best tool for the job and I fly it, though I do generally stick with a small handful of planes in heavy rotation rather than always flying everything. It's too hard to stay "current" if I fly too many.

I have to say that I'm getting most of my personal niches filled. If I could ever warm up to the Citation Mustang, I'd have high my personal high/fast niches handled, but for some reason or other that plane hasn't captured me enough to get to know it/love it. The C90, on the other hand, has now earned a solid place in the flying rotation.

Well, shucks, Scott...I wonder how you'll do when we roll out the combination: A G1000-equipped B200 with Blackhawk Mods.

So, can you give us an update on this project?

I realize its Flight1 and that every single project JR does is close hold tighter than the research unit at the CIA... but a nice update of what to expect and how far along the project is would be nice.

No need to give any release date, we all understand that is strictly against FS developers religious beliefs...

Heh. I thought I might be going too far by even mentioning it here, even if this is Carenado's "unofficial" forum. :Nail Biting:

At this point, that's all the releasable info there is, I'm afraid. Stay tuned over at Flight1's forum, though.

Woohoooo! That sounds promising! A G1000 in a King Air means a certain buy on my side! ;-)

Extracting info (any info) out of that bunch over on the Flight1 forums is like pulling teeth from a Goldfish...

Besides this obsessive-secretive nature that most FS developers have towards releasing any info about projects is a bit childish... and serves no real purpose. Beyond maybe that of feeding their own ego's...

Especially once the project has progressed beyond a point where its clear the intent is to make it and release it...

I can understand not telling everyone about all the projects you like to make, or ones you doing research on... but once its clear you ARE going to make it, and its in production, then why not tell folks.

The secretive-hush-hush attitudes so pervasive throughout the FS Dev Community speaks to a broader character at work...

Keeping projects from your customers is a bit naive...

Part of the excitement we as customers have is watching a project evolve and develop... seeing screenshots of the WIP and small informational posts now and then as the project gets closer to release.

We never get that with Flight1... infact we hardly get that from any developers...

The outwardly appearance of some developers is they are not producing anything... nothing out of them for months, even years... then ***POOF*** a plane, or scenery package... then nothing again for months or years...

Don't take this post personally, I'm just venting in general.

Whaaaaaa? :Hypnotized: My day just got better! Though, perhaps I was better off not knowing one was in the works since now I have to attempt to keep up some resemblance of patience on my part!
