May 23, 201214 yr Does anyone know what is in the works at Eaglesoft? I haven't seen much out of them lately. I hope they are busy working on the next bizjet....or? May 23, 201214 yr ...Or? The Cirrus Perspective that has been in the works for as many years as the real world aircraft has been in production? I wrote Eaglesoft off years ago, when I was still flying FS9...I almost purchased their DA-42 for FSX, and still might. But, as far as new products, there doesn't seem to be much. The forum posts I have made go unanswered regarding progress on the Cirrus, and now with Carenado making one that is what I will buy. Hopefully, nothing bad happened to them, or any of their development staff....I hope they are all well....
May 23, 201214 yr Moderator I'm currently hard at work on the Cirrus SR22 GSTX Perspective's avionics. There's quite a few differences in the menu system and the appearance/functionality of the G1000 PFD/MFD as well. I've got the remote keypad and autopilot functional already, and that was the easy part... ;) Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Written off? As you probably know we still offer a 30 Day Refund option which insulates all parties from financial loss. :Peace: We've been reorganizing and revising a number of things since loss of loved ones and personel changes due to burnout and or illnes over the past 1 1/2 years. One of the chief changes going forward is a distinctly slower and more quality approach to FS Product Development. As Bill mentioned the Cirrus SR22 GTSX Turbo with "Perspective G1000" Avionics Package will be our next release and as always we will communicate more as schedules allow.

Ron, I am glad to hear you are still at it. I am sorry to hear of the bad stuff though. I hope things are ok/better now and am sorry for your losses/hardship. I do have a question about the Cirrus, though. SInce this aircraft will have the Perspective, what can we expect in terms of detail and completeness? I am specifically referencing the synthetic vision and WAAS capability for it? Will it have an updateable AIRAC as the Citation does? I am fairly certain that the Carenado won't offer this, and these are features that are a must-have for an aircraft like this. Well, maybe not the synthetic vision, but definitely the WAAS capability and the AIRAC compatibility...
May 23, 201214 yr Moderator Synthetic Vision is still well over the horizon, as it is extremely difficult to replicate in FSX. Darn near impossible, actually... As for WAAS and AIRAC, that's simply far too costly to maintain a reasonable consumer price point, truth be told. Fr. May 23, 201214 yr I understand, Bill. I was inquiring, since recently I saw a video of the VRS Superhornet using synthetic vision (FLIR, actually...not that different) in an upcoming addon package, and since the Flight1 Cessna 182 uses an updateable Nav database, and can do WAAS approaches, I thought that was reasonable as well. I would pay a lot of $$$ for an accurate Cirrus that has those functions. Heck...I spent $200 on Reality XP gauges alone...so an addon aircraft that replicates its real-world counterpart (Cirrus, since it is what I fly IRL), cost is not an issue. Accuracy is.

Sorry to disapoint but the "Perspective G1000" implimentation will not contain the features you desire at our low price point but can say that Mindstar Aviation G1000 owners will be able do a dropin replacement if they wish to do so. We've always allowed RXP integrations into the Avidyne Equipped Cirrus series and I seem to recall a rumour that JL may have updated his equipment to work a bit better with third party instruments and plans. If so that would seem to be a boon to Avidyne Equipped/Dual 430 Cirri owners.
May 24, 201214 yr He did, Ron. The version 1.6 of the RXP adds the link-up between the PFD/MFD on the glass stuff and the RXP gauges....which is a nice addition. But, for an aircraft like the perspective, that uses none of the seperate gauges, it looks like default FSX navigation. No go for me.

May 24, 201214 yr Just a side note, the UNS-1 FMS in the ES CitationJet 1+ is worth the price of admission. Just FYI... And to Ron et al... that wonderfully modeled UNS-1 would fit nicely in a early EFIS Falcon 50 bizjet... you know, just saying'... :pardon: A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. - Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
May 24, 201214 yr Commercial Member There's one really, really big difference between FLIR and 'synthetic vision': FLIR is an actual camera image. Synthetic vision is 100% computer generated out of a database. FLIR will show vehicles, buildings, trees, etc. Synthetic vision contains none of those. FLIR in FSX is possible. Synthetic vision would require a few gigs of terrain data (probably LOTS more than that) to replicate it correctly. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69

You are correct regarding the Pro Line 21 coupled with the UNS-1 combo in the CJ1+ Project so we certainly need to make those systems available to the community as schedules allow. :Nerd:
May 24, 201214 yr Perhaps someone else could test this aswell but my attempts to do LPV approaches using RXP GPS didn't work in the Cirrus. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist
