June 14, 201213 yr Hi, The 800WL. Thanks, I hope they do the -900WL someday. But it looks like you need to register to download. I don't even see the Facebook login mentioned above. Sagga Toure
June 14, 201213 yr Why? What happenes to you if you use FB? Why even have a profile if you cant use it? I never usderstand the problem some have with FB. Not that I love it, but as long as you dont put any info that your scared people might get, then what is the risk? I can understand worry if you share your most intimate info, but if you dont put your location, place of employement, photos, ssn/tin, financial info, etc, what's the worse that can happen? I post a few things on it... but really I think social networking/texting is destroying good ole face to face conversation.... Almost everyone I know has a cell phone/smart phone with texting... and they always ask to text us... or "I'll facebook you" argh! I don't get texts btw :) Whatever happen to "I'll call you!" | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
June 14, 201213 yr I think those days are gone Ryan, sadly. I have even seen posts here that are text speak. I think with the next generation, we will be using Google translate to read English. June 14, 201213 yr I refuse to use Facebook, so I'm not getting this either. They need to just make it available on their site, instead of forcing users to use Facebook just to give them a "like" ? Seriously? If I like the company I'll go on facebook on my own time and push the Like button. I don't need an incentive. AJ Pongress
June 14, 201213 yr I quite agree - I just installed them, my GF has a facebook, so I don't really care, I clicked it, but I really had stupid feelings when I saw they are enforcing watching videos for key hunting or facebook like it buttons. That's the worst stupidity ever. Either make it payware or make it free available. If people wanna watch videos, they will, just post a link, and those that don't want (like me right now), will just browse through the video quickly, searching for the key. Or facebook? Sure, will click it, cancle the text, and just download the key. This was mega lame. Am I ever going to buy McPhat after this? Probably not. Actually a shame since this is a real nice livery.
June 14, 201213 yr Is McPhat ever going to even put the NGX liveries up for sale? 777 will be out before they do?
June 14, 201213 yr Problem is with PMDG I think. AFAIK, they had some differences, and PMDG forbid them to sell products for PMDG any more (maybe I'm mistaken?). Link
June 14, 201213 yr Looks to shiny and not realistic to me anyways. Yep.They looked like they were dipped in oil or wrapped up in plastic. yuck

June 14, 201213 yr I think those days are gone Ryan, sadly. I have even seen posts here that are text speak. I think with the next generation, we will be using Google translate to read English. And that is precisely why I won't use Facebook. It might be inevitable, but that doesn't mean I have to make myself part of the thin end of the wedge and speed its onset. If I 'like' a company, I'll demonstrate it by purchasing their products and possibly telling people I meet that I think they're good if it crops up in conversation - you know, that thing where we actually speak to other humans. :LMAO: Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Al - what don't you like about McPhat paints? I've seen a few say the same.. Do you not like the paints themselves or is it a principal thing about the way they are packaged or sold? I have the paints for the ERJ and love them.. but I haven't tried others. Do you think the freeware paints are of the same quality?
June 14, 201213 yr As much as I ilke McPhats repaints, I stop using them the day he started forcing us to jump through hoops to get them. Jay
June 14, 201213 yr Thanks. Al - what don't you like about McPhat paints? I've seen a few say the same.. Do you not like the paints themselves or is it a principal thing about the way they are packaged or sold? Do you think the freeware paints are of the same quality? I don't like the way they look, to me they come across as more like exercises in being flashy than an attempt to genuinely replicate what the aircraft looks like at the kind of distances we are emulating seeing an aeroplane from when in a flight sim viewed on an sRGB PC monitor. This is of course my opinion, stemming from an appreciation of impressionist art, depth of field, saccades, global resolutions, and all kinds of stuff like that, and others may disagree, but it is the kind of visual empathy for the medium which I feel one should really be trying to achieve, i.e. they are a bit like a guitarist who can play a hundred notes a second, but can't play anything of artistic merit. As I always tell people who attend my Photoshop courses, there are loads of tools on the toolbar and menus in Photoshop, but you can look as hard as you like, and you won't find a good eye on there, you have to provide that bit yourself. That said, I'm not bothered about them charging for their efforts, if people are prepared to pay, then good luck to them if they can make a few quid out of it. But I'd never buy repaints anyway, since I do my own, and yes, I do think there are many freebie repaints of much better artistic quality out there. I'm fairly sure a lot of people will disagree with this view, but they are of course free to do so. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
