July 2, 201213 yr Gweduck is a 1 off. It fly's out of Renton and last I heard they are trying to sell it and the design. I have seen it in real life and its a very impressive aircraft with 1 major flaw. There is a small port between the cockpit and cabin. A lot of pilots really like the Gweduck from the outside, but took one look at that, and walked away. Simply because if you need to get out in a hurry, it will be VERY hard. Good to know. But, on the other hand, sims are the one place you don't need to worry about egress! :lol:
July 2, 201213 yr Maybe I've watched Ice Pilots NWT too much, but a DC-3 or a C-47 would be fun, and would definitely help towards those passenger and cargo achievements. I'd also love one if these and some SAR missions to go with it:
July 2, 201213 yr I always liked the Catalina. A very versatile aircraft and would be great for SAR missions.
July 2, 201213 yr What do YOU want to see flying in Alaska? Since you mentioned Alaska and I have one for FSX, I feel a Quest Kodiak would be a nice addition. See how nicely that ties together! Floats, Cargo, STOL, fairly fast = a nice plane for me and Ariel to go exploring with... :Kiss:
July 2, 201213 yr I'd like a natural progression from the other deluxe planes, maybe go for a faster twin like a Duke or Seneca. But I just saw that pic of the Twotter and floats, lovely! All I want really is my insane Cub with a pit. Simmo W, Melbourne, Ozhttp://www.youtube.com/user/id5556
July 2, 201213 yr a helicopter is my #1 desire - Twin Otter #2 - Beaver is #3 haven't seen anyone else say it - would like to see a basic (non-glass) 172 also I hope it goes without saying - all of the above would need to have cockpits...
July 2, 201213 yr I really like Lance's suggestion - Quest Kodiak! :Hug: That would be so nice and different. But, I'll settle for the Beaver with floats. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
July 3, 201213 yr Same as newthog but add a DC-3 to the list. Also a KingAir 350 for the longer trips. Also, gotta have a helicopter - 206, 412, UH-1, or something similar. Gotta have a good floatplane also. Cub on floats or a Caravan on floats would be great. Most of all, all must have a VC. Thank you. July 3, 201213 yr Grumman Goose all the way. I wouldn't need any other airplane. Last I looked, there was one for sale in Vancouver: Pacific Costal wanted to sell one of the 4 they were currently flying. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
July 3, 201213 yr I'd vote for a twin too. Twin Otter, Catalina, DC-3. This all sounds good. Dash 8 would be great, but a plane of this complexity seems very far from the focus of Flight currently, I can't see this happening anytime soon. Anyway with the hints of the Carbon Cub VC, Flight is back on track for me - at least it's back into a fight against X-Plane 10... I can't decide which, although the fact that Flight is so simple and quick to setup and launch makes it a better real alternative to X-Plane (while XP 10 might be the alternative to FSX in a couple of years if all goes well...).
July 3, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member I know what your talking about with XP10. I want to love it so badly, but I spend more time configuring the thing then flying it! Plus what do they put on those 8 DVD's if the world looks so generic? I personally would LOVE to see a Seabee up in Alaska, but dont count on that happening any time soon unless MS changes there policy on 3rd party dev's. Kevin Miller 3D Artist and developer
July 3, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member The goose on the left is the one that was used in FSX for reference. =) Sadly I dont think Antillies still makes the G-21G conversions. Kevin Miller 3D Artist and developer
