July 17, 201213 yr I own very few payware aircraft, and I don't fly them very often either because they are such hogs on my system. 1. Aerosoft F-16 2. IRIS DA40 XLS 3. FSD Cirrus Vision They all fly wonderfully, have great visuals, and the VC's have great functionality. In the future I'm planning on: 1.Vertigo Studios Vans RV8 2.Eaglesoft Cirrus SR22 3.Carenado Cessna 152, Cessna 172, and the Piper Archer.
July 17, 201213 yr There's certainly a danger in that and it bothers me as well. When I started doing this, I swore I'd keep my plane purchases limited so that I could fly what I had with the care I would in the real world. But I'm weak, and there are a lot of good planes out there these days. I still try to keep it real, and deal with the problem by only flying two, or at most three planes in regular rotations. Heh. Yeah, funny thing is...this weekend I had one of those "let's think about this" moments. I flew the RealAir Legacy some on Saturday morning but then I just sat there thinking "what kind of pilot do I want to be?" In the end, after just reading and thinking, I decided that I wanted to master one airplane...one that I would enjoy in an aeroclub or own. Trouble is, finding one.
