July 16, 201213 yr Probably because it's visually dated. I've got it but fly the T Duke a lot more. Still for its time the PA31T was an excellent addon! Surprisingly – and maybe some others will agree too – its actually aged well and the graphics are still pretty good. I bought the DA Cheyenne around the same time as Turbine Duke, and yes the Duke is a very fine bird with super slick graphics – but the DA Cheyenne especially the VC holds up pretty well. Dare I say it – in relation to some aspects - the VC is actually more immersive. The other plane which I saw on a few people’s list was the EPIC LT which I don’t think has aged well at all. It may have been good in its time but I don’t like it – the FDE seems super unrealistic to me, the outside graphics look cartoonish and not the greatest VC. I guess the broader point is that all of us will have different favourites! :) My current Favourite is the Bronco X. I still try to keep it real, and deal with the problem by only flying two, or at most three planes in regular rotations. Yeah that's how I try combating this 'problem' too :) Choice of aircraft depends on the next destination (distance, altitude, terrain etc)

July 16, 201213 yr I've seen a few people say the Iris ones aren't great. (on this thread, at least) Are all of their planes bad?
July 16, 201213 yr I've seen a few people say the Iris ones aren't great. (on this thread, at least) Are all of their planes bad? I only have one Iris Plane - DA-42. I find it to be decent. It's a simple plane, start and fly away. The only issue is that for a simple GA aircraft it does impact on the frames - but I guess this happens with all glass cockpits. I get better FPS with Bronco and DA Cheyenne then with the DA-42. Based on that purchase I would be happy to buy another IRIS plane.

July 16, 201213 yr I won't list all the planes I own, there's too muchy of them for me to remember, so I will keep it to a shortened list of the planes I actually fly. That said, at the moment I'm heavily focused on flying GA aircraft around OrbX PNW. So, I will provide two lists, one of GA aircraft, one of jetliners that I love to fly. GA: 1. RealAir Scout - my absolute favorite. Can't even say why exactly, but every time I load it up, i start smiling. 2. Sibwings Bird Dog - really nice aircraft, love the vintage feel of it. 3. A2A Cub - Lovely little plane and still quite a challenge to fly! I tend to use it for flight from israel's farm to either Concrete or Darrington. 4. Carenado CT210M - A little too fast for me, to be honest, but nonetheless a beautiful aircraft. 5. Carenado Seneca - I love this plane, but because of the wing's position, I don't fly it that often. Means I can't do any sightseeing... 6. carenado C206B - My cargo/passenger hauler for GA flights. Don't fly it as often as the others, which is why its on position 6. Jetliners: 1. Aerosoft Airbus X - Believe it or not, but it actually made it to the top of the list. Great visuals, great performane, easy to fly. Absolutely perfect for a quick flight without hassle. 2. PMDG 737NGX - Doesn't need further introduction, fly it as often as the Airbus X. Mainly fly the 700. 3. Leonardo Maddog - Still one of the best planes out there in my opinion. Extremely fun to fly, but performance isn't that good. It's the only jetlienr I use for Scandinavian flights, though. Simply becase SAS still uses them. 4. LDS767 - My medium haul aircraft of choice. Simply because it works so well. 5. PMDG MD-11 -This has become my favoirte long haul and general cargo aircraft. The fact that it's so different from both Boeing and Airbus is great - so refreshing! 6. Qualitywings 757 - Just not such a fan of the 757, but if I fly it, I use the Qualitywings version of it. July 16, 201213 yr Compared to most here, I have very few payware aircraft, though I do fly the ones I have almost exclusively. The only ones I have so far are: PMDG MD11 PMDG NGX Turbine Duke I fly the two PMDG planes pretty much the whole time with the Duke for some "light" relief every so often. I have lots of scenery and other payware addons though and I am definitely looking to add FSL A320 and PMDG 777 to my stable when they are released this year.

July 16, 201213 yr I've seen a few people say the Iris ones aren't great. (on this thread, at least) Are all of their planes bad? I got the Vulcan and F-14 very cheap in a sale a year or so ago. To say I was underwhelmed is an understatement. But to each his own... I don't have that many payware aircraft as I can't afford to buy them just to try them out, no matter how many plaudits they get. And I know I'm more likely to get bored more quickly with GA or military types. I've recently re-installed FSX and am keeping things very simple, which means my list goes: PMDG 737 - obviously... Flight1 BN-2 Islander - for some reason the most immersive aircraft I've flown. Waiting for: FSL Airbus A320 and PMDG 777 Ian
July 16, 201213 yr I feel like a loner, I am an airline guy and only have bought: Level D 767, simply because it works perfect. Next maybe PMDG 777 Bob
July 16, 201213 yr Only use PMDG products Installed and use J41, MD11 and the NGX (800) Have purchased but never use: Diamond Katana CS 707 / 727 / C130 and the PMDG 747...just a little long in the tooth now. July 16, 201213 yr I got several but my favourites (not in a particular order) are: Realair Legacy, Duke piston and turbine, Spitfire (well, maybe these are my favourites :) ) PMDG JS41 Flight1 BN2 Uiver DC2 Carenado 185 and 208 (Bernt Stolle FDE's) A2A B377 with Accusim I also have FSD PA32, PA34 and Commander which I never fly... PA28 Arrow from Carenado which I fly sometimes If I had to fly airliners my choice would be the NGX. And a good A320, if they'll ever make one, I know some are still in development. Cheers Federico Bellato
July 17, 201213 yr The other plane which I saw on a few people’s list was the EPIC LT which I don’t think has aged well at all. I bought this plane wanting some kind of turbine single like the TBM and Malibu... But it's hideous. Along with the Abacus Avanti P180 II. The one feature of the Epic that is rather nice is; the Auto Pilot. Reviewing the list; NGX has got a love affair going on! Jets are great, but there are some really interesting airports you miss out on when the landing speed is over 120-140 knots.
