I downloaded beta 3 last night. There is a bug that won't let the engines stay running. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar
July 17, 201213 yr I downloaded beta 3 last night. There is a bug that won't let the engines stay running. Hmm, I did not know it was out. So they fixed one thing and broke another? When you say engines are you talking about a prop twin or heavy and have you tested with other single engines? Bob Officially retired

July 18, 201213 yr Author It's out: Bug Fixes: Fixed washed out cockpits on older airplanes like the CL415. Blog post coming soon explaining what this was, why authors might want to update their planes, and what's coming in the future for cockpits. Fixed erratic joystick behavior on windows that prevented proper calibration Fixed linux joystick problem preventing the detection of rudder pedals/trim wheels etc (NOTE: If it still doesn't find your device, you'll need to UDEV your /dev/input/event* device to give X-Plane permission). Fixed roads shooting into the sky at LSZA. (There are a lot of the roads on this planet and we can't check them all by hand, so if you find yet more roads shooting into the sky, please file a bug!!) Sim won't go into 'safe mode' after an auto-update. Aircraft carrier wake doesn't show through carrier. Fixed crash at night with C130 and other planes with no 3-d cockpit. Fixed heat blur to not show up in first class cabin of 747 and other interiors.
July 18, 201213 yr It's loading for me whereas the last two were not so I guess they have fixed the joystick issue. I do have another joystick issue that was very obvious in my first two flights but more so in the new columbia as it is a lot quicker than the other I have been flying. It seems that I cannot get full deflection on my forward pitch. I calibrated my stick as it got rid of all my settings so I know that is correct. In the joystick settings I can see all the axis move as I would expect with full deflection of the stick. In game when I get up some speed I cannot bring the nose down. I cant remember what the speed was in the columbia but approaching 100 in the bonanza and I could not bring it down either. Also obvious when landing. I wasnt using any trim as I have not mapped it yet. Anyone else seen this?
July 18, 201213 yr Jason,Yes I'm having the same issue with my Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas, and like you, this is the 1st new beta that will actually run for me,seems very stable 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick
July 18, 201213 yr Hmm, I have the warthog hotas as well. I have seen a few people not being able to run the betas who have had the TM warthog. OK, I guess I will need to wait for b4.
July 18, 201213 yr I have a Thrustmaster Warthog but have not tried it yet, the new bug I have is when it's dark using the United 747 the glass cockpit instruments don't show you can see the runway, the gauges have gone, it's ok in the daylight.

I have the same issue with the glass displays. It even effects my CRJ-200.
July 18, 201213 yr Author Thinks look very good for me on Linux (Geforce 680). I can use HDR with everything maxed out, without shadows and still have great FPS! Shadows use to make X-plane hang, systematically with HDR on (this was already the case in 10.05), and now without HDR sometimes. The few times I could look at shadows noticed they look much better now. No weird line at LOD change, and less flickering. Did you all try the programmable quick views system ? I think it finally gives 3d cockpits perfect usability. You can redefine views in a snap, and transitions are perfectly smooth.
