September 20, 201213 yr There are a couple things that im looking forward to: - The amazing sounds from these monster engines (GE90's, PW, RR) (Tabs - I cant wait until we get a preview of these!) - The long haul flights. (Lets me do things around the house on my days off) - the electronic check lists will be great! I already have too many papers on my desk lol. Cheers, Tino I was a long time not in the forum, came back last week and now I see many people writing about the PW and RR engines too. Is there something I didn't get? I mean is PMDG doing the PW and RR engine models as well? - René Mosek - Future Owner Of: 'The PMDG 747-400 V3' B)

September 21, 201213 yr I am looking forward to all of it. First make some short flights with scenery settings at low (to simulate simulator sessions, type-rating lol) and then do the real operations might sound dull, but that's the way i think i am going to do it Regards, Harm Swinkels
September 23, 201213 yr I'm looking forward to the engine sound, the acceleration on takeoff, the checklists, just the general sense of bigness compared to the NGX I've been engrossed in for the past year or so. Most of all, I can't wait to see NGX like detail and the latest "hi-res" features, in terms of graphics quality and also 3d modeling, applied to a heavy long hauler, which would be the first time really since the old PMDG queen 747 for FSX. First make some short flights with scenery settings at low (to simulate simulator sessions, type-rating lol) and then do the real operations might sound dull, but that's the way i think i am going to do it That is an interesting way of seeing things. I kind of saw things that way with the iFLY 737 NG for FSX last year, which was released a few months ahead of the PMDG NGX. To justify the purchase, knowing full well that I'd only use it for a few months and they forget about it once the NGX was released, I told myself that flying it was like preparing in the a LevelD Sim for real world operations. I had bought the PMDG printed manuals for the NGX late 2010, and really needed to put what I have been studying into practice while the material was still fresh in my mind. I even used this "simulator" perspective when I was a die hard "x-planer", around early 2008. I wanted to try FS9 and some of it's addon aircraft just to prepare for "imminent" X-plane aircraft releases. Thing is, I fell in love with the added features in MS flight sim that I was missing in X-plane, namely, a real working FMC, AI aircraft, better ATC, more complete airport/world scenery. After a few weeks, I just gave up on X-plane altogether. Turned out that the wait for the equivalent quality X-plane aircraft would have lasted years, as only now is X-plane finally offering the FSX quality addon aircraft I craved in 2007 that I used to think was just around the corner (rollon CRJ, and that new 777). It seems strange to see a simulator within a simulator, but hey, whatever floats your boat! A.J. Domingo
September 24, 201213 yr The electronic stash like the electronic checklists, EFB etc. Stuff that are "unique" to the T7 (okay, other planes have EFB and electronic checklists as well, but you know what I mean) vatsim s3

October 12, 201213 yr With you on that one! I'm definitely looking forward to the DXB - Australia & New Zealand routes with EK :-) Agree with that. Especially the routes to DXB. But also one of your routes with ANZ to LAX is already planned. - René Mosek - Future Owner Of: 'The PMDG 747-400 V3' B)
