I am curious to see the nightlighting. Just love the green color. Then to start up and take thrust up to T.O. power these amazing sounds of the GE90-115B.

But one of the most excited things I'd love to see ist the taxi camera.

All in one the whole 777 when it's released. :)

+1 for me as well. I love the fact that they're modelling the most powerful engine variant.

Also, I very much look forward to the later -300ER expansion, as I like the looks of the longer variant more.

Taxi Camera would be brilliant for sure. Weather Radar for FSX is not that useful in my eyes. Day and Night in the sim you can see weather visually. Anyway I doubt many would or even do deviate around weather when flying. Terrain Radar is much more useful :-)

Accurate or not, WXR should be there.

Oh yea my 777 also will gain many cycles within a short amount of time due to many small hops.

EFB, ECL and Taxi Camera.

The main thing I'm interested in is the GE90s and the lighting effects at night, I was really impressed with what PMDG done with their NGX (especially the strobe lights). I'm also going to be interested in the 777s size and the general feel of flying it. Oh and how could I forget, the EFB is gonna be a great bonus.

Are we getting a taxi camera? :D

IIRC EFB isn't going to be released until SP1/2. Which is usually a year/half a year or so after initial release.

VC if this is like the 737NG kind a thing, even though i have the partial "other 777" product already and doing flight testing on it.

But the aircraft modeling standpoint, this is something to see and something to compare with.

It will have a taxi camera? cool

PMDG hasn't announced one way or the other about a taxi camera. But it would definitely be cool (if possible)!

Oh no! No taxi camera? Maybe it will be like "this will not be replicated as it is impossible to replicate this in FSX due to the limitations in MS flight simulator?". Something along the lines of the much requested weather radar.

The limitations of flight simulator are that "Rain" in FSX is simulated as a cylindrical shape of "The places inside this cylinder have rain happening and the rest of the world does not" with a top, bottom, and sides, centred at the point of the aircraft. FSX does not have information of "It is raining over there, but not over there". but just "It is raining (everywhere within your viewpoint)" or "it is not raining (anywhere within your viewpoint)". You COULD make a Radar that shows rain, but you would either have to source the data from real world weather radars (and it wouldn't have much to do with when it rains/doesn't rain in the sim), or if you were trying to make it use the Sim "Rain" then... um... the radar screen would always be just one block colour. - Which is almost as useful as a "Weather Stone" with a sign under it saying "If The Rock is wet. it is raining".

WeatherStone.jpg

A Typical FSX Weather Radar is about as accurate as this sign is.

Other developers have created a "Cloud radar". This is not what real weather radars look for... and the colours (Green, Yellow, Red) do not actually signify how much rain is coming out of that cloud... but just how high the cloud is... or in some cases, they just literally make it up - making the device about as useful at detecting weather as a lava lamp.

Ground taxi camera (GMCS) however... is just a new viewpoint location. Since "The Window" works like it should, so can a taxi camera. Heck if VRS can make a fully functioning FLIR which you can zoom in and independantly 'steer' around and lock onto targets to put a modified-colour view of the surrounding terrain on a MFD, then a single-position, non-zoomable (maybe modified colour view) 2nd camera viewpoint would be easy.

It might kill framerates, but that's fine. I'm sure an i9 11.8Ghz with a billion GB ram and GTX93973 195GB GPU will handle it by 2022 just fine.

However I suspect they won't put it in the -200LR. Mostly because Boeing also don't.
