October 3, 201213 yr What? I don't do this... I leave orbx enabled and fly all over the rest of the world with GEX/UTX/ and addon airports and scenery - no issues +1 I see now that I gave some wrong info there. I know It can blend well with i.e UTX/GEX, What I ment to say is If you fly i.e from Orbx NA to i.e Orbx Oceania then you'll have to switch region to get the right mesh and autogen and stuff. And the same goes for the upcoming Orbx EU scenery. Good that you pointed out my errors ^_^ I'm not so much into compitability as I only fly in Orbx land+ Tongas X and ES Channel Islands and Isles of Scilly(Allthough having NA enabled and flying in those ES scenerys the normal autogen will dissapear only the custom Autogen shows). But John Venema has stated that It will be compitable with Orbx UK and that Darren has written a tool called ESmerge for them to use to make this work with Orbx UK(I was very happy when I heard that  )
October 3, 201213 yr Thanks for clarifying. October 4, 201213 yr Thank you for the great list! I see you left out FSDT for airports.... did you forget or for some reason you dont like their stuff? I didn't forget them. I have them all and I consider them excellent. But you mentioned in your post that you have them already.
October 4, 201213 yr What? I don't do this... I leave orbx enabled and fly all over the rest of the world with GEX/UTX/ and addon airports and scenery - no issues. Try a flight wth origin from a GEX/UTX region, and destination an OrbX region, or vice-versa. And see what happens. Two random examples: OMDB -> YPPH YMML -> PHNL
October 5, 201213 yr If I installed (in this order) all of these add ons, is there something I should do to avoid conflict? My runways are messed up (I see dirt and patches of grass all over): REX PhotoScenery Earth Manhattan Manhattan X UTX GEX Flight Environment X Which ones overlap? And if I install water and clouds from FEX, am i essentially uninstalling the REX theme? Any thoughts? FEX is a double both with GEX and REX. It has textures but in my opinion GEX for ground and REX for sky are better. To understand better the functions each add-on can have keep in mind this "herarchy" in fsx: different components make the whole scenery, and each product match one of more of this components. 1) Meshes the elevations of terrain. Product suggested FSGlobal, 2010 or ultimate according your disk space. 2) Landclass, the type of terrain. Scenerytech or Xcloud. 3) Terrain layer, as roads, rivers, lakes, coasts. Photoreal scenery (Megascenery or better Sim Savvy America, franceVFR) or generated scenery (UTX) or both (Switzerland professional, Orbx) 4) Textures, the graphic aspect of the matching landclass. (GEX for ground, REX for sky and water). On photoreal scenery the ground textures are not used as they use their own. 5) Objects and other. (all the airports and more) 6) Enhancements products, covering a specific function as AS2012 for weather, Accufeel for sound end bump effects, and a lot of others. This is also more or less the order in which one should install them, as to have in the scenery library the correct priority order (meshes, landclass, terrain, objects airport, from bottom to top). October 7, 201213 yr 2) Landclass, the type of terrain. Scenerytech or Xcloud. 3) Terrain layer, as roads, rivers, lakes, coasts. October 7, 201213 yr Latinvfr MIA will give you the best KMIA scenery you are looking for. Blueprint simulations has a pack with lots of South American airports, including EZE. For other add ons, if you use third party weather and hardware, then i consider fsuipc a must have. For other add ons, look at GSX and MCE, gsx gives you ground services at just about every airport in the world and mce gives you voice control of a large number of aircraft, from default to several payware to atc to ground services, great value for money. Mega scenery Paris by Aerosoft will give you a very good scenery for what you want in this aera as well. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
October 8, 201213 yr A question: Don't UTX products contain landclass data? Yes, it contains some Normal and some special landclass, as well different terrain features (roads, railway, warters, ecc) divided in several scenery layers. I contains forests, urban and special custom landclass. It is more accurate on urban and custom but less on country and forests. So, as stated by Flight1 support, if you want use Scenerytech o Cloud9 (one at time), you have to configure them over the forest layer and under the urban and custom ones. October 10, 201213 yr Author Im having issues with EVERY ONE of the FS Dream Team Airports. I Land on rwy 31L of JFK without the runway number on it. The taxi ways and grass are all mixed in. And every time I get close to gate to park, the terminal building disappears. So all Im left with is a plane parked with all workers around it (GSX) but no terminal... just floating jetways. The problem is that in the FS Dream Team support forums all I read are people with this same problem and sarcastic (borderline) rude responses from the support staff. So Im trying to avoid that. Any ideas??? Otherwise the FS Dream team airports become worse than the default ones..... The Full Motion Stream Twitch: DAL213 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFrr16hu6X_-mnVaIGJZ5MA? October 10, 201213 yr My FSDT terminals disappear when I view replays but they do come back when viewing 'live'.
October 10, 201213 yr FS2Crew for the PMDG737NGX or FS2Crew Voice version for the PMDG JS41, whichever you use most. If you like one, get the other.
October 10, 201213 yr Just bought EZDok and so impressed by the realism it provides. Really adds to the experience. Guys is it possible to install an ORBX airport without the land textures that they say you must have first?
