November 3, 201213 yr Has anyone tried to see what it does when you run it with an external FPS limiter ? For some reason, after using SweetFX, my external FPS limiter has stopped working. Suggestions?
November 3, 201213 yr I used ENB too in the past but stopped using it because of lots of CTDs as I recall it and if my memory serves it was found and confirmed ENB would cause those kind of problems. Since you're using it I take that as you don't have any problems with it? None whatsoever, works so easily, turning on and off with Shift+F12. Never had a CTD with it. But sure did with SweetF. November 3, 201213 yr I found the most configs overhere to bright with to much sepia. which is nice for a summer day but not for now when it is fall in europe. My monitor: SA27A950 calibrated with a spyder pro which I borrowed from a friend who is a photographer. So I think my colour profile is right haha. But I like to share my settings. Ive created 2 files. 1 for the day and 1 for the night. The day one is without sepia but that can be enable on a sunny summer day. The changes in the night one are more bloom and less exposure so it is a dark night. And then I made a .bat file to switch the settings when needed. Hope you like them. https://www.dropbox....Day & Night.zip AMD 7800X3D, 64GB 6000MHz CL30, INNO3D RTX 4080, Windows 11.

LOL...  ...I'm not sure you meant "strange"....but ENB works well for me (and I imagine others as well) but SweetFX doen't work for my needs (as I noted above). November 3, 201213 yr FXAA & SweetFX both work really well for me in DX9 and DX10, but ENB don't... Is so strange how it perform on different system, my fps drop in full screen but not in window mode. Suddenly, the sky is blue instead of blue/grey and the ground textures are more vibrant. For me, I added in the SMAA because I like the added clarity it provides. FSX looks much more real to me now. (Or, at least what I imagine real to be. I am not anything like a real pilot.) Might be just prettier...hehe. But, I like it! Thanks for sharing.
November 4, 201213 yr Nice to hear you like it. I disabled SMAA because I saw no difference? You do? What settings do you use for SMAA? Oh. I forget to turnoff the splitscreen option in the night version. AMD 7800X3D, 64GB 6000MHz CL30, INNO3D RTX 4080, Windows 11.

I forget to turnoff the splitscreen option in the night version. I definitely see a difference. I did not change the SMAA settings in your file. Just enabled it. Makes things sharper for me. Also adds a little contrast. I am running DX10 preview. Maybe that is a difference. (I think you forgot to turn off the split screen in the daytime one, too.) I haven't tried your night version yet. Daytime version looked fine at night to me. Will try it later. Thanks again for sharing.
November 4, 201213 yr I do also run dx10. But I do not see any noticable difference when enabling the smaa settings. But will try again. In the night time I turned the bloom a bit higher and I lowered the exposure so there is a darker night. but maybe on your monitor the night is already dark enough. November 5, 201213 yr Hi, if I copy and paste your setting sweetFX.txt and rename the original default, will this enable your settings into sweetFX? Phil Phil Broadhurst http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg
November 5, 201213 yr yes, just backup your current SweetFX_settings.txt and place mine in your fsx version and rename it to SweetFX_settings.txt AMD 7800X3D, 64GB 6000MHz CL30, INNO3D RTX 4080, Windows 11.
November 6, 201213 yr Does anyone know how to uninstall Sweetfx? I cant use it since it doesnt seem to handle more than one screen, and my FSX is unflyable until I get rid of it... Niklas Eriksson
November 6, 201213 yr Commercial Member Does anyone know how to uninstall Sweetfx? I cant use it since it doesnt seem to handle more than one screen, and my FSX is unflyable until I get rid of it... Just delete the SweetFX folder and all related files from the FSX folder. To see which files need to be deleted, open up the SweetFX zip file you downloaded and it will show you all files. November 6, 201213 yr Commercial Member Delete the following files in the Microsoft Flight Simulator X folder: d3d9.dll d3d9.fx dxgi.dll dxgi.fx injector.ini log.log SweetFX readme.txt SweetFX_settings.txt (if you've edited this you may want save a copy to a backup folder first - or just leave it, it won't hurt anything) Finally delete the "Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SweetFX" folder.
