Xplane 10 on Five 60" TV's

Also, don't forget with multiple displays, you have the bezels to contend with...it's hard to find a TV with the bezels thin enough that putting two side by side isn't going to have an annoyingly wide barrier...

I really don't notice the bezels after flying a bit. Not that they are even a distraction at all.

Depends on how quick you buy all the gear and whether you buy it wired or wire it yourself.

FDS sells a fully wired MIP and overhead if you want to get going quickly, shell goes together in a day, few hours to build an 8x8 platform for it.

That being said, I've been building for 3 years and he's about a year longer than that. Overhead can take a month of weekends to wire up itself.

Yoke and rudder choices can be simple bolt to the floor, or complex like using salvage parts, building the connecting tube, wiring and finding the right tension returns.

I think the resolutions of those displays at that distance is fine, they are not on his nose, they are outside his cockpit.

Also they are not being used for gauges/cockpit which would show up any issues. I think its a good solution for scenery only and remember, he has 5 x 1080p screens covering the same areas that some do with only 2 or three 1080p (or lower with short throw projectors).

I bet it looks great.

Looks A-MAZING!

Happy Flying,

..... just came back from 7Eleven with 2 Lottery tickets .. the rest will be easy .. :LMAO:

Wow, what's the electric bill?

10700k / Gigabyte 3060

If he uses it one hour per day and then does other stuff not using his tv's then his bill would be the same as the average american watching 5 hours of tv per day :)

Hi, I am fasinated by your setup. I'm on the cusp of deciding Xplane or P3D. I have a few questions if I may?

Are you running Sim Avionics with Xplane 64 bit? I cannit fibd any documentation about support on their site.

Are you using Xplane Pro to do the screen warping?
