I hope you're right, but simply placing it for sale with no announcement would be utterly bizarre.  I thought he meant there would be a build up to release of some kind.

 

The two recent fb pictures mentioned earlier hardly constitute a preview.  I don't know why people got so excited over them.  The NGX had a series of pictures with decreasing rad alt in the run up to its launch.

Agreed.  I believe there will be a post about the release.  Just from all of the banter and vitriol around here, particularly when they release preview posts, I think they're just keeping it to a minimum.

 

If it's like the NGX, there should be a few threads right before the release.  I don't recall how the MD-11 and 744 went, exactly, but there were definitely posts saying they were released.

Purchased it and she is sitting at K16 in ORD, now all I need to do is hire qualified pilots to fly her to Japan. Heading down to the airport now to officially take delivery

His misquoted the wiki article, anyway.  Rollout is not the same thing as delivery.  May 15th is cited by the article as the first delivery.
