March 14, 201313 yr Commercial Member They said there would be "no silent release". Silent release???? RE: The silent release issue, I believe what he meant when he said that was that they weren't going to just make it live on the PMDG site and wait for people to figure it out. Just like the rest of their products, they'll make an announcement here (and likely on FB about it). Kyle Rodgers
March 14, 201313 yr Who dares me to buy? LOL If they do transact $160 odd million from you, they'll probably refund you. Just like the rest of their products, they'll make an announcement here (and likely on FB about it). Kyle, what was the release announcement like on the NGX? Lionel

I thought he meant there would be a build up to release of some kind. The two recent fb pictures mentioned earlier hardly constitute a preview. I don't know why people got so excited over them. The NGX had a series of pictures with decreasing rad alt in the run up to its launch.

March 14, 201313 yr Commercial Member Kyle, what was the release announcement like on the NGX? Here's one of the last posts before release (I'm guessing because of server upgrades, some of the punctuation and formatting got messed up, so it looks a bit messy): http://forum.avsim.net/topic/334941-pmdg-737-ngx-approach-checklist-please/ Pre-release: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/339157-09jul11-update-on-ngx-release-progress/ Pricing, etc: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/340470-pmdg-737ngx-pricing-and-availability/ I can't find the actual release thread. They definitely put something up, though. I hope you're right, but simply placing it for sale with no announcement would be utterly bizarre. I thought he meant there would be a build up to release of some kind. The two recent fb pictures mentioned earlier hardly constitute a preview. I don't know why people got so excited over them. The NGX had a series of pictures with decreasing rad alt in the run up to its launch. Agreed. I believe there will be a post about the release. Just from all of the banter and vitriol around here, particularly when they release preview posts, I think they're just keeping it to a minimum. If it's like the NGX, there should be a few threads right before the release. I don't recall how the MD-11 and 744 went, exactly, but there were definitely posts saying they were released. March 14, 201313 yr This came through my monitor with the download. Full motion 777 Sim....can't wait to plug it in. http://www.balticaa.com/uploads/image/catalogs/boeing-777---full-flight-simul.232.jpg William Sequeira
March 14, 201313 yr Purchased it and she is sitting at K16 in ORD, now all I need to do is hire qualified pilots to fly her to Japan. Heading down to the airport now to officially take delivery Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
March 14, 201313 yr My bets on the release date are April 9th. The rollout day of the first 777. But then again... Who knows. 165 million seems a fair price... o.O Wikipedia says May 15Th, 1995? Boeing's website doesn't! Remember, wikipedia is not your best friend!
March 14, 201313 yr Commercial Member Remember, wikipedia is not your best friend! Not necessarily so. His misquoted the wiki article, anyway. Rollout is not the same thing as delivery. May 15th is cited by the article as the first delivery. Kyle Rodgers
