May 12, 201313 yr No, it will not be today. They have said countless times it won't be a sneak release. AJ Pongress
May 12, 201313 yr As it will not be a sneaky release, the announcement will come within now and my birthday, July the fifth 2013. It would be a welcoming announcement as I already know what to buy for myself. YEAH. That's right! A new airplane and I call her Princess of the Skies! The 777!! My first flight will be done in KLM livery.... already going hot hot hot. EHAM to Haneda Tokyo baby! But first, I will need to get the hang of the systems. As I assume it will not be comparable to the 767.. ^_^ Nah, that one has partially analogue gauges... definetely not comparable with the glass B777 cockpit. May 13, 201313 yr My biggest birthday present would be the 777 being released on June 6th. This would make me happy! T-day so to say.
May 13, 201313 yr My guess would be the 31st of this month... Its a holiday which will give us working bee's one extra day to fly the beast. Hope you all have a great week...! May 14, 201313 yr I tend to avoid these types of threads but let me add some insight since I've been involved with other betas (not PMDG).. Most developers have a target date once everything starts coming together. But honestly they don't know exactly when the release date is themselves... they may not know until a week or two leading up to release... And then when they're about to release a product some tiny bug pops up and everyone works to get it fixed.. and release dates get missed... oh well. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

May 14, 201313 yr lol i can´t wish for a realease on my birthday any longer els it´s gona be next year hehe but it makes no sence to keep guessing as no one knows els the developers have there planed scedule only beta testers know that plan aswell.. but it´s out when it´s done i dont understand why it keeps running as it makes no difference or any good to the progress as even some one guesed it.. you never get the true storry.. in some way point less... only hint´s and a fact is the more people ask the less the deveoper want´s to say guess why what would you do in the same situation.. we all want to get the awenser but the fact is even beta testers get info along the progress i only knnow a few projects i have been in to the scedule have been right, but patch free no way Best regards Lars N. May 14, 201313 yr No it won't..? Rob has clarified the issue to us and said it was just the camera in the FSX. No delays will happen from this Jamie Brady
May 15, 201313 yr No it won't..? Rob has clarified the issue to us and said it was just the camera in the FSX. No delays will happen from this Tell this about to our Dutch railroad companies NS and ProRail. They will tell you delays always happen, no matter what the promises are or once were. These can eventually be broken by the maker. Another bug may pop up and they will have to fox it, just as the other person stated. May 15, 201313 yr No I meant that there won't be a delay from the engine illusion. I didn't say for the other bugs or issues they have. Jamie Brady
May 18, 201313 yr I've been passively watching this PMDG 777 release drama from the sidelines since the tail end of 2012. I'm only a casual simmer, and I don't care too much when it's released. However, I just had to note the silliness of this whole thing. If any other business on the face of this planet ran a product development or marketing process the way PMDG is running this 777 release process, they'd have been out of business at the snap of a finger. They announced the product way back without any sort of formal timeline. They issue bits and pieces of information [presumably] to keep their customer base engaged and interested, but they still won't offer any sort of firm commitment to said customers. The worst part - they scold anyone who expresses any sort of frustration with the seemingly unending delay. I know this post will get crucified, but before you do so, just think about this for a minute. Imagine if Apple announces the iPhone 5S and then carries on with its development with the idea that it's customer's patience is essentially a bottomless pit. Imagine the panning they'd receive in the media a year after most reasonable expectations predicted the product would be released. This sort of thing would be widely viewed as undisciplined and uncharacteristic of any company that was serious about its customers or its profits. Obviously, Apple can't afford to act in such a way because their competitors would bury them at the blink of an eye. I guess the lack of any serious competition allows PMDG to carry on in this undisciplined manner. Ultimately, I realize PMDG pretty much runs a monopoly because it produces fine simulation software, and they have every right to exploit the situation. I'm just surprised that most here are still salivating in anticipation of 777 release, despite how they've been treated by this company.
