April 7, 201313 yr Author This is up to you, but if PMDG MD 11 is your favourite aircraft, i think you should avoid Perfect flight, Just Flight, Captain Sim, Wilco. This will be your worst purchases if you are looking for high level of realism. You will find there only Marketing and "Eye Candy planes" ^_^ Sorry, I missed your reply there. Even though the PMDG MD-11 is my favorite, I also own most of the CLS stuff. Been flying the CLS DC-10 regularly for the past 2 years lol. I'm not that picky and enjoy both the complex and simple aircraft add ons. When I sim, I set my imagination to vivid  . I just took a look at the Flight1 site for the DF727 and saw this... Windows XP Recommended - Windows XP is the official operating system that is supported for use with the Greatest Airliners: 727. It may work with other Microsoft operating systems, however this is not supported by Flight One. Can anybody confirm if it will run on Win7 Ultimate? Nature Boy

April 7, 201313 yr Hi, I have both CS and DF 727. While CS has the best panel and aircraft graphics (they always have), the flight model(s) is no good. Unfortunately CS hasn't mastered creating good flight models. I don't know with their recent releases, the one older ones I bought, somehow all have crappy/unstable flight model (imo) So go the the DF 727. Looks and flies great. April 7, 201313 yr I know people like to harp on CaptainSim about this and that with good reason but they actually did an all around good job with their 757 (FS9 version). Everything about this addon outside of the VC night lighting (which you can't turn off) is great. I degress, I want to know about the FS9 CS727 with the mods mention here in this thread. Is the FDE improved so it's flyable by the numbers? April 7, 201313 yr @@Dillon, i didn't checked the numbers becouse i'm using now mostly fsx with NGX, MD11 and Maddog. But DF727 just feels pretty "right" in fligh. Maybe just a little bit overpowered if i remember well, but anyway i'm not sure how B727 should be regarding power CS don't feels right at all. I stoped to check their website after i tried 727 and 737. I will refrain myself from commenting on Captain Sim B) @@JetFueler - No, will not work in fsx. You will be able to fly it, but not all gauges will work. I can't remeber about all systems and switches, but i tried once and remove it from fsx quickly. Interior Graphics are outdated on DF737, but it's still great plane, especially if you like chalenging "old fashion navigation" and high workload during all phases of flight. You must do PF, PM and flight engineer's jobs Zeljko Budovic
April 7, 201313 yr Author But DF727 just feels pretty "right" in fligh. Maybe just a little bit overpowered if i remember well, but anyway i'm not sure how B727 should be regarding power I came across this while reading the DF 727 reviews. This one is from flightsim.com... The flight dynamics seem to be fairly on the mark, bearing in mind that 727s were reasonably maneuverable while tending to remain where you last pointed them. Once in flight, the hallmark of this bird was a significant excess of power at the lower flight levels and the sim delivers precisely that, so watch those throttles when you level out at the first altitude restriction. As usual, I didn't sit down and check power settings against every combination of speed and climb, life being too short, but on the whole, the 727 felt right. I'm going to make my purchase tonight. I was suppose to do it last night but was too tired when I returned home from work. Looking forward to flying this old school plane. I'll be getting the DF version. I see that Flight1 has 2 livery packs for download. I sure hope they have the Air Canada livery. Nature Boy
April 7, 201313 yr This world is a funny world. I just download CS 727 today, just finished applying the mods. After long months of contemplation, after totally enjoying DF727 on FS9 I finally took the plunge after reading the CS727 flight model has been improved if you apply the user mods but even though I have not tried it out yet my bias towards DF727 lead me to think it will have to go some way to compete. Would be interesting to apply DF realworld performance charts and compare it to assess the flight model. I'll try this again... How is the mods on the CS (CaptainSim) 727? Is the flight model better now? FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

Yet to configure some goflight hardware for it but I will be getting to grips with it very shortly. I will report back very soon, hopefully. I haven't got FS9 installed an more will be done very much on memory Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
April 8, 201313 yr This world is a funny world. I just download CS 727 today, just finished applying the mods. Where can I find those mods? I searched here in the library on several key words, but no luck so far Additional question: What is the most current FS9 version? I have V1.5 Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
April 8, 201313 yr Author Not good. Purchased from Flight1 and just finished installing. I loaded up FS9 to see if the aircraft is there. It is and I exit FS9. I tried to launch the configuration tool and it won't open. I get a 429 runtime error with the message "ActiveX Component Can't Create Object". I googled the problem and tried several solutions offered which were placing files in the C: windows folders. Nothing works. I'm not even going to try and fly this aircraft if I can't access the configuration tool. Text o Matic opens up just fine. I really don't know what else to do. Well, it's 5:30 am and I must get ready to sleep. I'll do some more digging tomorrow and see what I can find. Nature Boy

I have V1.5 Hi, if you go to captainsim.com and click Media menu, scroll down to Community then select "727 general" icon, "Mods and tweaks" is a sticky. Keep in mind that these are user tweaks and mods. FS9 version 1.5 sounds about right. Long have not used it so maybe someone can advice. Also I'm not sure if there is an FS9 version of the aircraft.
