April 8, 201313 yr OK Flamers!! Start your engines!! I have been flying the Flight 1 Mustang.....waiting on the B200. I now use OPUS full time for weather and the latest version of Pro-ATC. I have taken the decision that I will fly nothing in the future except modern aircraft, G1000 because it can update with the latest Nav Data and OPUS weather because it just plain works!! I have no personal desire to fly any of the Tubeliners....just not for me. As a GA flyer, I never bothered much with IFR...just kick the tires and go like many others. My interest in the open development of OPUS as well as Pro-ATC has completely changed my mind on flying IFR. It gets you so much more involved in the flight. All of the above takes some time to get your head around but at least for me, It has been a great learning experience. Instead of spending my time trying to trick RXP to work or tweaking this or that, I know can spend time learning IFR using real IFR routes and real weather. OH, these programs are not yet perfect but I do believe they are "as real as it gets" at 2:12 PM CST 4/8/2013. Bottom line...after many, many, many years of Flight Sim's I can say I am happy with FSX and look forward to the B200 and Milviz 350. They should be amazing. April 8, 201313 yr +1 on all the above. I've always preferred a good GA VFR flight to hours of trying to press loads of buttons in the right order. I also have OPUS and find the camera system as well as the weather excellent. I also try to stick to ORBX scenery areas for low and slow- it just adds something. I've tried photo-realistic but I just can't get on with all those flat looking buildings at anything below 2000ft. Blackrat

April 8, 201313 yr Author Will the Milviz 350 have updateable nav data? Thanks, Barry Well I guess I don't know for sure. Good question though. I would just be stunned if they did not. Maybe someone knows for sure. April 9, 201313 yr Milviz forum shows two panels, steam and Proline 21. The 21 has a FMS, but haven't heard any particulars yet. I have to say, comparing it to their other work... it looks like a master pice.
April 9, 201313 yr One of the great things about FSX is that it allows me to file an IFR flight with all the bells and whistles in something as amazing as the NGX, real weather courtesy of OPUS FSX, manually fly a jet I will probably never get to hand fly in the real world, ever, up to 10K and then sit back monitoring George... I get to switch off George during arrival and/or approach, touch down at my chosen destination, taxi in... then hop in to my Spitfire... Fire up the Merlin, let her warm up and then go screaming through the valleys of North Wales at treetop height, landing in time for tea and scones on the lawn... It gives me insight to types of aircraft I only ever get to see from outside. With the likes of A2A and accusim, PMDG's ultimate levels of realism and so on and so forth... Isn't it great that we can do this, all for an estimated quarter of the cost of a PPL over here in Germany... I have never even seen the B350 in the real world, let alone close up. I love the first renders that have been posted of Milviz' development. If it looks that good and handles well in sim, it will be one to buy... only time will tell... A Andrew Entwistle
